Input Devices In computing, aninput deviceis a peripheral (piece of computer hardware equipment) used to provide data and control signals to an information processing system such as a computer or information appliance. Examples ofinput devicesinclude keyboards, mice, scanners, digital cameras and joysticks. Input devices allow us to enter newdatainto a computer. The computer processes the data and then producesoutputsthat we can understand using an output device. Input devices can be manual or automatic.
