Hollow D, Hollow P and Ribbed Rectangle SealsEPDM weather seals are designed for automotive, marine and a wide variety of industrial

applications. EPDM is a highly stable polymer closed cell sponge material that will not absorb or hold moisture and is not effected by temperature extremes. EPDM also exhibits high electrical insulative properties. Unlike most elastomers it exhibits superior UV resistance.

Specifications:Most LaVanture EPDM rubber seals are medium density, 45-50 durometer. Standard RMA

tolerances apply to all the EPDM rubber seals.

Cap Tape® was developed initially to provide an economical seal between pickup truck caps and body side rails. Today, Cap Tape® is used effectively for a variety of noncritical industrial and commercial sealing applications. The tape flexes

Series TPV8100 and TPA8150 general purpose foam tapes are light density closed-cell Polyvinyl Chloride product. TPV8100 is cast-on 5 mil kraft 83# paper and TPV8150 is cast-on 1.5 mil mylar film to provide dimensional stability. Both are manufactured for use as a positive seals for irregular surfaces and/or for creating a tight seal on radius curve applications.

This light density foam compresses easily and offers conformity, strength and resilience. It creates a life long seal against air, moisture, light and dust

penetration.

5 mil kraft 80# calendared paper for use as a “heavy duty” seal where strength and wear resistance are required. This medium density foam tape absorbs shocks, deadens sound, cushions and limits excess vibration.

Foam Tapes and Bumpers

Foam Tapes and Bumpers offer protection for a variety of things including cabinet doors, cutting boards, appliances and other applications where quiet protection from nicks is desired.

RA Separator/Shipping Foam Pads provide glass protection during shipment. Ideal for transporting, packing, storage and installation of finished and unfinished glass doors, windows and mirrors.

Polyether Tape is a flexible fine cell foam tape designed for automotive gasketing applications, especially for RV doors. The high-tack permanent rubber-based pressure sensitive adhesive exhibits a superior balance of tack, peel and holding power on a wide variety of surfaces.

Polyethylene Foam Tape is single-coated cross-linked closed cell with rubber-based pressure sensitive adhesive with high tack and high sheer.

Neoprene Tape is a closed cell EPDM/SBR blend tape featuring a high tack rubber based adhesive with liner on one side.

PVC Foam Tapes are cost effective solutions for sealing out light, air, dust and moisture, and cushions against vibration and noise.

Polyester Urethane Foam is highly flexible, fine cell, fully clickable foam that is uniform and breathable without voids or tears.

TEI Series Tapes are high performance closed cell, cross-linked polyolefin foam tapes they are quoted coated on both sides with a highly aggressive acrylic pressure

sensitive adhesive that adheres well to a wide variety of surfaces. They are produced on an 84#

polycoated two-sided brown kraft liner. All products have been tested accord-ing to AAMA 800 – 05, section 1.6, 810.1 – 05 expanded cellular glazing tape and exceed the specification requirements. TEI series tapes are

available in white or black.

Polyolefin foam tapes provide excellent sealing durability

and are conformable to irregular surfaces. The closed to sell structure

provide sealing, cushioning, thermal installation, sound deadening and eliminates excessive vibration.

The aggressive adhesive provides an excellent initial tack for immediate anchorage to a wide variety of surfaces commonly used in window assembly.

HB Series 4520GHB series 4520 is a gray core/black adhesive best suited for powder coated metals, ABS plastics, and some painted metal applications. Works well on Lexan and other clear polycarbonate substrates where a black adhesive is desirable.

Automotive Special Applications Weather Seals

LaVantrure EPDM rubber speciality seals are designed for special applications where exposer to weather, water, electricity, light and human contact is involved.

EPDM is a highly stable polymer closed cell sponge material that will not absorb or hold moisture and is not effected by temperature extremes. EPDM also exhibits high electrical

insulative properties, Unlike most elastomers it exhibits superior UV resistance.

Specifications:Most LaVanture EPDM rubber seals are medium density, 45-50

durometer. A small selection are dense, 65-70 durometer. These dense durometer seals are coded DD. Standard RMA tolerances apply to all the

EPDM rubber seals.

Adhesives:Adhesives are available for a wide variety of applications in three formats. 3MTM's heat activated tape system, HATS (H), a pressure sensitive PSA (P) format and acrylic emulsion based, A2. All systems have been tested and have passed our rigid performance requirements.

TremPro 645Product Descriptions: TremPro 645 is a single component, medium modulus, neutral cure silicone sealant. TremPro 645 cures to a flexible rubber when exposed to moisture present in the air.

Eco-Friendly SealantsThese Energy Efficient Sealant or “Green” series sealants are beneficial to the effect on the environment at two levels. First, by minimizing the adverse effects pollutants have on the environment. Secondly, increasing a building’s efficiency. Increasing a building’s efficiency is made possible by reducing the amount of heat loss (or intrusion) by sealing cracks, seams, and other openings. The environmental effect reduction is made possible by our ex-tremely low VOC (volatile organic compounds) levels. These “Green” products have VOC levels less than that required by the national standards.

Not only do the products listed here follow a “green” standard, they go beyond the obvious. For instance, the plastic cartridges that the sealants are filled in are made with post-recycled product, and we encourage our customers to follow a “recycling” program.

The LPC Gas Spring is a self-contained,

nitrogen-driven counterbalance product

which provides uniform handle forces,

non-catastrophic failure and extended years

of service. The spring’s patented multi-lobe

seal provides a superior sealing footprint,

toleration of shaft imperfections, vibration

and temperature variations over single

lip designs.

LPC Gas springs are available in Black

Nitride where exceptional quality combined

with an overall black appearance are

required. They are also now available in

Stainless Steel for all marine applications

as well as medical or food service

applications where a high degree of

cleanliness is required.
