Our customers rely on geothermal installers to be knowledgeable in: sizing strategies, installation methods and equipment options. We are always striving to be aware of what is new and worthwhile. Innovative Energy believes ClimateMaster products have the new technology attributes to warrant a change of brand for 2013. ClimateMaster is the largest full-line manufacture of geothermal products in America. Waterfurnace is second. Both companies have released or will be releasing new technology with increased performance (efficiency) based on variable speed compressors, circulating pumps, and fans. On-demand domestic hot water production is also possible. To take advantage of the variable speed hardware, new iGate controls have been developed using additional sensors and actuators. Performance of the premier units will be up, and likely, so will their price. ClimateMaster has designed a new mid-grade water to air heat pump product line, called the “TE 30 Digitalseries. Cost and efficiency are similar to the Bosch product we have been providing. A variable speed compressor is not provided in this mid-grade product, but it has the variable circulator pump, fan, and the new IGate controls of the premium product. The circulator pump and valves are integral to the cabinet. The installer will no longer need to mount, pipe, or wire these components. This reduces our labor. This heat pump is dimensionally smaller and the weighs less than the Bosch. The reduced size and weight will ease the task of delivering the product and reduce the area required. We will pass this added value (reduced cost) to our customers. Innovative Energy believes this new ClimateMaster TE 30 Digitalpackage hits a sweet spot and will be the product we will be proposing to our customers to give us a better solution. This product is available now. Link to TE30 Feature Data ClimateMaster has a reduced efficiency model called the TZ 22 Digitalseries. This series has the same integrated pump and iGate controls, and will be a good reduced cost alternative for price sensitive situations. This product is available now. Link to TZ22 Feature Data The higher efficiency ClimateMaster premier unit, called Trilogy 40, when released end of 2013, will be their best product to cover the high end. Good , Better , or Best we will give you the choice. ClimateMaster is promoting their new products in the media. We hope this will bring attention to geothermal and business to Innovative Energy. We completed our training the Fall of 2012 and began proposing ClimateMaster new technology solutions then.

have been efficient, and Innovative Energy has had excellent results with the product. Our customers rely on

geothermal installers to be knowledgeable in: sizing strategies, installation methods and equipment options.

We are always striving to be aware of what is new and worthwhile. Innovative Energy believes

ClimateMaster products have the new technology attributes to warrant a change of brand for 2013.

ClimateMaster is the largest full-line manufacture of geothermal products in America. Waterfurnace is

second. Both companies have released or will be releasing new technology with increased performance

(efficiency) based on variable speed compressors, circulating pumps, and fans. On-demand domestic hot

water production is also possible. To take advantage of the variable speed hardware, new iGate controls

have been developed using additional sensors and actuators. Performance of the premier units will be up,

and likely, so will their price.

ClimateMaster has designed a new mid-grade water to air heat pump product line, called the “TE 30 Digital”

Ecobee Thermostats

We have been offering Ecobee Smart thermostats as an option with our geo systems since mid-2011. The

units have color touch screens and Internet connectivity through Wi-Fi. They work great with geo. Some

features customers say they like are:

The color touch screen is easy to use and fun to show off

When homeowners are away, they, their family, or neighbors can monitor the home from any

computer

The unit gets local weather info from the Internet and uses it to optimize heating and cooling

efficiency and comfort

Setting up is easy to do on a computer

The t-stat can control humidity levels taking into account local weather

Furnaces and A/C system can benefit as well as geo systems

Temperatures alerts or other alarms can generate emails

Smart thermostats have been in the news and folks find Ecobee on the Internet. Innovative Energy is an

Ecobee contractor so Ecobee refers customers to us and we have been installing units on various types of

Replacement Air Filters for Geo

Most forced air geothermal heat pumps come with allergen capturing MERV 11 filters. These filters and the

geothermal heat pumps’ high capacity fan deliver even temperatures and excellent indoor air quality. With

the filters’ large surface area, the 2” depth filters usually last 6 to 12 months. These large MERV 11

replacement filters may be hard to find on the Internet or at home stores. Innovative Energy will stock many

of these filters for Bosch and ClimateMaster. Prices range from $12 to $15 each. Most units require 2 filters.

Keep a set, half a case (6) or case (12) on hand. Contact Innovative Energy.

Thermostat Setbacks

Many geo system owners ask, “Should I use thermostat setbacks”? If you were going to do it to save energy,

the answer is, no. The following link with take you to the GeoConnections, Inc. blog that will provide a more

detailed explanation. Geothermal And Thermostats: Set It and Forget It!
