ISEC is the annual flagship conference of ISOFT, the India chapter of ACM SIGSOFT(http://isoft.acm.org)undertheumbrellaofACMIndia.ThetentheditionofISECwillbeheldat LNM Institute of Information Technology, Jaipur, India (refer to www.isec2017.in formoredetails).ISECwillbringtogetherresearchersandpractitionersfromacrosstheworldtoshare the results of their work. The goal of the conference is to provide a forum forresearchersandpractitioners frombothacademiaand industry tomeetandsharecutting-edgeadvancementsinthefieldofsoftwareengineering.

Scope (Industry Track) Industry track aims to bring together industrial and research professionals of softwareengineering,whoareeagertoshareandbrainstormonpotentialdevelopmentsofcommoninterest.Thishalfdaysessionwillbecomposedofinvitedspeeches,paperpresentationsanddiscussionswithastrongfocusonapplicationofsoftwareengineeringprinciplesinpracticeandtheirimpactonqualityofcodeandeaseofmaintenance,time,cost,etc.

Weareseekingfollowingtypesofsubmissions:1. Experience Based Reports and Case Study Papers: each paper should discuss the

context of a problem of practical importance and provide plausible solutions. Theinnovativenessofthesolution,themethodologyandoverallassessmentofbenefits,risks andother lessons learnedneed tobe addressed.We invite both short papers(limitedto4pages)andfullpapers(minimum7tomaximum10pages).

2. TalkProposals:Thistypeofsubmissionisonlyopentopractitioners.Wesolicittalksontopicsthatarerelevantandofinteresttobothindustrialandacademicattendees.Examplesoftalks include,butarenot limitedto:softwaredevelopment instartups,postmortemofsoftwareprojects,forgottenresearchtopicsthatarestillrelevanttoindustry,newchallengesinsoftwareengineeringbecauseofgrowthoftechnologiessuchas“InternetofThings”,“BigData”etc.thatneedhelpfromresearch.

3. Posters:Postersubmissionsshoulddescriberecentlycompletedwork,highlyrelevantresults of work in progress, or successful systems and applications. Posterpresentations are intended to enhance informal interactions with the conferenceparticipants,atthesametimeallowingfor in-depthdiscussion.Postersdonotneedto show final research results in detail. Work that might lead to new interestingdevelopmentsiswelcome.

Submission Details for the Industry Track: Submissionsmustadheretothe ISEC2017submissionandformatting instructionsandcanbemadetotheemail-idprovidedbelow.Atleastoneauthoronthesubmissionsneedstobefromindustry.

1. Case study and experience reports - Paper submissions must be original (notpublishedorunderreviewelsewhere),includethetitleofthesubmission,thenameandaffiliationofeachauthor,andupto150-wordsabstract.Thesepapersshouldnotexceed4pages(forshortpapers)and6~9pagesforthemaintext(includingfigures,appendix etc) and 1 page for references (for full papers) in standard ACM format.Shortpapersshouldnotexceed4pages.

2. TalkProposals-Talkproposalswillbereviewedintwophases.Forthefirstphase,theproposalshouldincludeatitle,"talkdescription",whichdescribeswhatthetalkwillbe about, highlighting its key points and the reasons why it is interesting to ISECattendees(500words).Submissionsshouldincludeaspeakerbiographyandhistory,andcanincludesupportingmaterialssuchaswhitepapersorvideos.Eachacceptedtalkwillbeofferedonepageforan"ExtendedAbstract"intheISECproceedings.Thetarget audience of this document are the attendees of the conference and thereadersoftheproceedings.

3. Posters -Thesubmissionmustbe in the formofa two-pageshortpaperdescribing

problem(s),proposedapproach(es)tosolvetheproblem(s)andresultsifany.Authorsofacceptedpostersneed toprepareposters fordisplayingat theconference. FinalpostersshouldbeinportraitformatwithapproximatelyA0sizedimensions.
