Knowledge & Learning Team Charter

Our goal is to reduce barriers to user adoption as it

relates to learning our products, thus making them more

accessible in nature.

Our aim is to get users up-and-running faster and easier,

with the basics of how to get started using our products.

We do this by integrating learning solutions alongside our

products, in the form of interactive eLearning tutorials.




Considerations: what we want to provide users

Access to the specific information they need before and as they need it.

Help that is learning-centric, task-oriented, and visually-based.

An online community where learning becomes a social activity.

SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.0 Product Education Tutorials are online eLearning

tutorials hosted within the SAP Community Network, accessible to anyone with

internet access and also linked in-product from Start Pages and Help Menus.




Content

Scope of content is core product functionality (comparable to an online interactive version

of the Product Documentation)

Format includes animated video with voice over , interactive step-by-step tutorials, and

interactive flash content.

We receive feedback on this content from the rate/review function, as well as directly via

email, and attempt to resolve questions/concerns/requests to continually improve and meetthe information needs of users.

Our content is a starting point for online help. We support and will leads users to other

forms of structure and unstructured learning, such as community content and SAP

Education offerings.




Our success thus far

With an average of about 5,000 page views every week since our launch in

December 2010, we expect the interest in this initiative to grow substantially

post-GA of SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.0.

Overwhelming positive customer comments, such as:

I work at Expedia and I am reviewing the different tutorials and this is a good step in the

right direction….these tutorials will make it much easier for learn the product. Thank you!

Education Tutorials by the end of May 2011.

2. Update and add to this content as applicable for SAP

BusinessObjects BI 4.1 between August-October 2011.3. Continue exploring effective ways to integrate this content into

existing and new products to enable users.
