LIVE AIRPORT THE SAP LEONARDO EXPERIENCE

Airports are complex transport hubs. Airlines and operators expect big things from the digital transformation and they promise their customers the same.

This includes introducing application scenarios for the Internet of Things (IoT) and, as a result, connecting smart devices, applications, people, and processes to implement new business and service models.

In a world where everything and everyone is connected, we need a new way of thinking: Companies acting completely in real time. In the networked world, employees, products, departments and customers not only exchange information, they are constantly connected, and network through countless data streams.

Discover the future in our VR experience.

THE OASIS HYDROGEN SHELL TAPUP APP

The hydrogen dispenser is designed to not only provide the customer with a fuel that emits little to no CO2, but also a user-friendly design and system that gives the customer the ultimate refueling experience.

It allows users to track their refueling time and price, request route maps or dive deeper into the world of hydrogen.

Shell TapUp has developed an innovative fuel delivery service for car owners in the region of Rotterdam. Customers can order their fuel via the Shell TapUp app intuitively and request where and when their car needs to be refueled, without the need of being present as long as you leave your fuel flap open for service.

For the delivery, a new, compact, electrically driven vehicle has been developed, which is able to fill up around ten cars and fulfills all safety requirements.

GREAT BUBBLE BARRIER SOMNOX

Introducing Great Bubble Barrier, a solution to catch plastic waste before it reaches the ocean. Current solutions to stop waste in the rivers have two major drawbacks; they block ship traffic and/or fish movement.

This innovation found a solution that doesn’t have either: a barrier of bubbles.

Introducing Somnox, the world’s first natural solution to induce sleep in the form of a soft robotic.

Somnox will know, with the help of artificial intelligence, whether the user is awake or asleep. When spooning Somnox during the night you will be soothed to sleep by the following functions, tickling the senses to relax body and mind.

ROUNDTABLE ROUND 1CIRCULAR FASHION

How can we change the fashion industry to produce fashion that looks good and is sustainable at the same time? Is it possible to use ‘good’ materials, ‘good’ energy and ‘good’ water for a ‘good’ economy and ‘good’ lives? What is the role of technology and digital innovation in this transition?

ROUNDTABLE ROUND 1THE NEW PLASTICS ECONOMY

Can the circular economy for plastic packaging ever be economically viable? Currently, all plastic recycling is heavily subsidized or funded by companies, and the financials do not add up. How can we solve this? Do we need to increase the price of input materials or should we rationalize the amount of plastic in the market? In this roundtable, we discuss how we can make the system more efficient.

ROUNDTABLE ROUND 1PRIVACY AND SECURITY OF HEALTHCARE DATAHealthcare organizations are increasingly facing security threats. In the age of personalized services and platforms, the lines of responsibility are becoming less clear. Everyone is responsible for data protection, but where do you draw the line? How can you keep data accessible and liquid, but also secure? How can organizations achieve optimal data protection while giving patients or citizens control over their own healthcare data and care? What is the extent of their responsibility and can they provide new services to bridge the gap between organizations and their, often irresponsible, consumers?

ROUNDTABLE ROUND 1BOOSTING A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE THROUGH TECHNOLOGYHippocrates once said: “Let the food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food”. Diabetes Type 2 results from the body’s ineffective use of insulin. It comprises the majority of people with diabetes around the world, and is largely the result of excess body weight and physical inactivity. Which leads to increasing health care costs. Overall consumer health can significantly be improved by personalizing nutrition through digitalization and behavioral motivation. In this roundtable, we discuss the main obstacles to personalizing and promoting healthy nutrition for consumers. What can we do to improve this? Which technologies are not (or not yet) used optimally in the prevention of the disease? Who are the key stakeholders, and what is required of each party to enable a healthy consumer lifestyle through personalized nutrition and behavioral stimuli?

ROUNDTABLE ROUND 1HOW TO CONNECT, SHARE AND CARE IN HEALTHCARE USING IOTDigital Transformation in the Dutch health market. How to connect, share and care. The people in our society are aging and our healthcare sobers. As an independent guide and director digitalAngel connects the healthcare ecosystem to improve insight and well-being. Our digitalAngel platform provides a secure, standardized and scalable IoT environment to connect sensors from different manufacturers to a centralized user-friendly management console. ROUNDTABLE ROUND 1SMART WORKERS AND THE EXTENDED ARTIFICIAL WORKFORCEA knowledge economy like the Netherlands, with less focus on production systems to drive the economy, is very dependent on knowledge workers. Knowledge workers have a high level of expertise, education or experience, and the primary purpose of their jobs involves the creation, distribution or application of knowledge. As highlighted in Accenture’s ‘Technology Vision 2016 – People First’, the heart of an Intelligent Enterprise consists of the value of its workers’ knowledge (intellectual capital). By equipping and amplifying the knowledge worker with intelligent technologies (Technology Vision 2017 – Amplifying You), the smart worker is born.

ROUNDTABLE ROUND 1THE AGGREGATOR IN THE ENERGY MARKET

The share of renewable electricity is expected to rise sharply in the near future. Our biggest challenge here will not be installing sufficient generation capacity, but matching supply and demand. Demand for electricity has always been flexible, requiring adjustable supply. But renewable electricity is less flexible and difficult to store. We therefore expect to see a new player in the electricity market: the aggregator. The aggregator will facilitate the matching of supply and demand. In this roundtable session, we will discuss which technologies affect the need for aggregation, and whether the aggregator role should be commercial or governmental.

ROUNDTABLE ROUND 1QUALITY OR QUANTITY IN SOLAR ELECTRICITYIn recent years, prices for solar panels have dropped significantly, resulting in a huge uptake of solar electricity by consumers. Most commercially available solar panels have an efficiency of between 10 and 20%, while the most efficient solar panels in the world have a 40-50% efficiency. In this roundtable session, we will explore whether there is any potential for a further increase in solar panel efficiency, and whether it would make more sense to focus on further efficiency increase or on reducing the cost of existing technologies.

ROUNDTABLE ROUND 1DO YOU HAVE AN ACTION PLAN FOR THE GDPR (GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION)?As of May 25, 2018, all organizations need to be compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). As digital trust is increasingly seen as one of the critical success factors in B2C and B2B, it is important to get started with your GDPR action plan as soon as possible. Are you aware what data processing activities take place within your organization and what impact the GDPR will have? How do you best tackle a comprehensive project such as the GDPR? In this roundtable, Accenture, SAS and Van Doorne (legal expert in data protection) are happy to help you to get started with your GDPR plan and turn issues into opportunities.

At the same time, your customer data is being threatened by cyber attacks and changing EU legislation (GDPR). In this roundtable, Fox-IT and Van Doorne will share their insights and best practices from both a technical and a legal perspective. This roundtable will help you with practical steps to identify the biggest areas of risk and to create a customized action plan. ROUNDTABLE ROUND 1BLOCKCHAIN IN FOOD SAFETY AND TRACEABILITYGlobalization of the food industry has made it increasingly difficult to trace where our food comes from and what processes it has undergone. This makes the already complicated discussions on healthy and sustainable food even more ambiguous, making it harder for consumers to make ‘the right choice’. In this roundtable, we discuss the potential role of blockchain in traceability. Blockchain could result in a level of transparency that some companies will regret. So who will take on this challenge? Will it be corporates or governments? Or will local initiatives turn out to be the answer?

ROUNDTABLE ROUND 1REDUCING FOOD WASTE THROUGHOUT THE CHAINWorldwide, roughly one-third of food is wasted throughout the value chain – from the point of production to the consumer’s home. Besides leading to the unnecessary use of labor, water, energy and other resources, wasting food is contradictory in a world where almost one billion people are suffering from malnutrition. In this roundtable, we will focus on the amount of food that is wasted by those who produce and process foods and those who make food available for consumption. How can we reduce this? And how can consumers be encouraged to waste less food? What will be the most essential drivers?

It is also frictionless, thanks to technology that helps you find your way and leads you through security and customs. P2P payments, cryptocurrencies and PSD2; innovation is disrupting the world of payments. Opportunities driven by protocol, currency and experience have led to a booming FinTech market, which is closely watched by incumbents. ROUNDTABLE ROUND 2CUSTOMER FOCUS IN B2B SELLING

B2B buyer demands have changed the game for B2B sellers. Conditioned by their personal experiences as consumers and empowered by digital technologies, B2B buyers expect a consistent and personalized experience at every stage of their purchasing journey. While many B2B sellers have made progress in developing dedicated digital touch points, most struggle with weaving them all together with their existing channels to create an engaging and seamless omni-channel customer experience. In this roundtable, we focus on the key findings in this area based on Accenture and Forrester research, and how they apply to the Dutch market.

ROUNDTABLE ROUND 2DO YOU HAVE AN ACTION PLAN FOR THE GDPR (GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION)?As of May 25, 2018, all organizations need to be compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

ROUNDTABLE ROUND 2BALANCING INVESTMENT BETWEEN PREVENTION AND INCIDENT RESPONSERecent security incident involving ransomware, cost Maersk between 200 and 300 million US dollars, disturbing operations for weeks. Let alone Advanced Persistent Threats, malware can cause major business impact, even though one could argue it is a risk that is easy to avoid by patching and keeping antivirus software up to date. With that in mind, how much focus should be given to prevention and how much to getting ready to react in case incident does occur? This round table focus on answering that question. Discussion topics will include challenges and limits to preventive measures as well as threat intelligence, vulnerability management and incident response.

ROUNDTABLE ROUND 2OPEN BANKING

Open banking - a platform-based business approach - could revolutionize how banks generate value. With increasing pressures from regulations and competitors, open banking offers leading banks the opportunity to expose data, algorithms and processes through application programming interfaces (APIs) and create new revenue streams, like today’s successful digital giants. Banks are at risk if they fail to address open banking. They could miss out on platform-based business models and the strategies they enable. And they could fail to meet consumer demands for seamless digital experiences. Open banking could make all the difference to banks’ digital transformation programs. In this round table we will discuss the new business models that Dutch banks could or should embrace.

DOUCHELOKAAL The largest barrier to innovation is often ourselves. Usually it is not so much about our limited imagination, but our beliefs of what we can do to make really big things happen. Especially inside large, incumbent organisations, the resistance to new ideas sometimes is overwhelming.

Or is it? Often we get stuck because of our own convictions about what can be achieved. And then all we need is a new perspective. Reframing gives you exactly that: a new perspective. It is an easy, four-step process that helps you disrupt your own limiting beliefs, and generate creative approaches for your own life and work. It is a key technique used in THNK’s Creative Leadership program.

At the end of this 90 minute interactive workshop, you will be able to completely reframe your own project and have a good laugh in the process.

MEELZOLDERIt has become self-evident; empowering girls and young women is good for business! A growing number of smaller and larger companies is actively investing in girls and women, as (future) employees, entrepreneurs, consumers and citizens.

The Girls Advocacy Alliance (GAA), a partnership between Plan Nederland, Terre des Hommes, DCI-ECPAT and the Dutch ministry of Foreign Affairs, encourages Dutch companies to remove the obstacles for girls and young women throughout their entire supply chain. The partners believe that joint initiatives of companies, government and NGOs will generate benefits for women and businesses and will contribute to greater gender equality. During this event, we will demonstrate the impact of empowering girls and young women. We will present an overview of the current actions taken by Dutch companies addressing gender equality in their supply chains. Finally, we will show what businesses can and need to do in order to be more successful.

KALVERMELK 1During this event, we will look closely at the speed of innovation and the impact that it has on different sectors in society. Are there ethics of invention?
