Their latest funding raise was rumoured to be at a $75 billion valuation and revenues are whispered to be $10 billion+. Cameron Poetzscher will take us into the HQ of one of the world’s most secretive companies and provide insight into the future of Uber and their battle with the regulators.
Penrose Studios: Pushing boundaries in storytelling Everywhere we look, technology is providing novel techniques to extend the human experience beyond the traditional channels of TV, cinema or theatre. Penrose Studios founder Eugene Chung will take us through the art of storytelling in Virtual Reality, and introduce their latest feature, Arden’s Wake, a thrilling journey of family history and self-discovery.
Roam insights: Health tech check-upAs the US healthcare system moves from a pay-for-service to a pay-for-outcome system, Roam Insights enables its customers to confidently navigate this chaotic new world of outcome-based compensation. Alex Turkletaub will discuss the inspiration behind creating the company and the impact he thinks health tech will have on state healthcare systems.
Funding Fallacy: A workshop on funding bias in Silicon Valley Astia is a charity that is transforming the way businesses are funded in the here and now. It provides capital, connections, and guidance that fuels the growth of highly innovative, women-led ventures around the globe. What comes after Z?Cliff Redeker will give a unique insight into how Alphabet Inc. is looking to foster innovation from within by creating an environment that encourages intrapreneurship. He will also discuss the increasing power of Google and how the company intends to manage the growing scrutiny over its scale and influence.
Real robots, doing real work, with real peopleFetch Robotics is a company that has won numerous awards for innovation and technology in robotics. CEO Melonee Wise will host us at the company warehouse where we can meet the autonomous robots that have made the company one of the most talked about supply chain start ups.
We need to talk about DonaldAt the heart of YouGov is a global online community, where millions of people and thousands of political, cultural and commercial organizations engage in a continuous conversation about their beliefs, behaviours and brands. YouGov will introduce us to their global business and give insights into the behaviour driving politics in the US, as well as the popularity of President Donald Trump in America.

Opus One: Where ‘old’ and ‘new’ collide Opus One is the realised dream of two men: Baron Philippe de Rothschild of Chateau Mouton Rothschild in Bordeaux, and Napa Valley vintner Robert Mondavi. Together these legendary founders set out to create a single wine dedicated to the pursuit of uncompromising quality.
Our final day is designed to allow future leaders to connect while tasting some of California’s famous wine in Napa Valley. At the heart of this day is culture and a shared experience, with the family business and impactful business models in the wine industry also explored.
