16 About us

A joint Efma & Accenture initiativeThe Efma–Accenture I3- Innovation in Insurance programme aims at identifying and awarding the most innovative projects in the insurance sector at a global level. Efma and Accenture launched this initiative with the aim to spread out and share worldwide best practices in this area.

An essential component of the programme is the I3 Portal: www.efma.com/innovationininsurance

This portal showcases the most recent and relevant materials on innovation within the insurance sector (secret sauce behind the innovations, implementation, business results...). Any insurance company can submit their most recent and relevant innovations. Innovations can be searched by category, keyword, launch year, country or institution.

This initiative is split into two major phases:

1Idea collection All insurance companies are

encouraged to identify their most innovative initiatives in 4 categories and post them.

2Awards Ceremony The best innovation in each of

the 4 categories will be awarded during a dedicated event, open to all financial institutions, in Milan on 9th June 2016. One additional award will be assigned by the judges to an identified player in the following category: Global Innovator. During the ceremony, all winners will present their experiences, highlighting the key success factors in the design, development and operational phases of the innovative projects.
