Security access levels can be set in the terminal to prevent fraudulent usage. Is it different than the dialing procedure on Inmarsat Satellite phone? A.1 Making a call using Inmarsat prepaid account is the same as using Normal Inmarsat satellite phone. The dialing format is: 00 + (Country Code) + (Area Code) + (Subscriber number) For example, a call to Mumbai from satellite phone would be dialed as: 00 91 22 12345678 Q.2 Is it possible to call another Inmarsat terminal from my minim/GAN terminal? A.2 Yes, you can call another Inmarsat terminal from your minim/GAN terminal. The dialing format would be as below: 00 870 (destination Inmarsat number (9 digits)) Q.3 How do I check the balance available in my account? A.3 At the end of the call once the called party hangs up, you will hear the balance announcement which will give you balance available in your prepaid account Q.4 Is balance information service chargeable? A.4 No. getting automatic balance information at the end of the call is at present not chargeable. Q.5 What is the tariff for MiniM/GAN prepaid service? Q.6 How do I recharge my prepaid minim or GAN account? A.6 You need to send the payment along with request letter to Tata Comm account manager for recharging your account. The recharging will be done during 48 hrs. Therefore you need to send the request well in advance so that the balance in your prepaid account is not exhausted and account is not blocked. Q.7 Can I make payment by cash? A.7 The payment can be made only by either cheque or Demand Draft (D.D.) in favour of “Tata Communications, Mumbai”. We recommend contacting our account manager before preparing cheque/D.D. to put correct amount and make it error free transaction and speedier activation/recharging. Q.8 Where do I get assistance in case of technical queries/problems? A.8 For any technical assistance you can dial 33# from your satellite phone. Technical help is available 24x7, 365 days. Balance available: INR 68 Balance available: INR 100 When terminal A goes faulty, the balance Rs. 68 under A/c 1801 1231 8989 will be added to a/c 1801 1231 7342. The available balance on a/c B will be Rs. 168. Terminal A user can now use combined airtime available on Terminal B.
