INL Climate Change
Vulnerability Assessment
Assessment of climate change vulnerabilities conducted in 2014
• Assessment goals were to:
• identify aspects of INL that could be affected by climate change
• quantify how these systems/components will respond
• determine the capacity to adapt to minimize impact
• assess climate change risks (consequence × probability)
• develop adaptation plan to minimize negative impacts
• Revised DOE order, now includes requirements that include planning for climate change resilience and adaptation, and sustainability
