Through Hon. Kaloki's unrelenting effort to give the people of Kibwezi clean drinking water, the MP has been able to marshal support from donors and the government towards this goal. Organizations like 'In TOur Own Quiet Way' based in the United States of America is currently constructing 1,000 water pans
in Kibwezi. Further, through his friends in Canada, an NGO called Turner Foundation has sunk a borehole to supply water to Mtito Andei town and other areas of the lower Mtito Andei region.
Other Organizations involved with the provision of clean drinking water are USAID, The German Agro Action and Excellent Kenya. The Member of Parliament has also embarked on building earth dams, pipeline extensions, sinking of more boreholes, equipping of water projects with the necessary machines and construction of water tanks among other activities. Hon. Prof. Kaloki's vision is to rehabilitate and protect water catchment areas & points for sustainable development, environmental management and increasing access to clean water by all residents of Kibwezi throughout the year.
As the saying goes Water is Life! Hon. Kaloki's strategic objective is to ensure there is quality water supply for all households in Kibwezi by increasing the number of sources of clean water and to achieve this; he has and will continue to:-„ Sink new bore holes and rehabilitate and refurbish old ones.„ Map out the sites, usage, and identify the challenges facing the stakeholders to enable joint rehabilitation of
the water points in the constituency.„ Source partners for constructing water plants for sustainable water use and economic empowerment
initiative.„ Invest in the protection of springs, pans and dams in Kibwezi.„ Promote rain water roof catchment systems in the constituency.
