Pre intense ideas (psychological thriller)

Film idea

We have just got assigned our project, which is to create a film based around the theme‘Psychological thriller aimed at a mature audience’

Examples of these films are ‘Don't look now’, ‘The sixth sense’, ‘Black swan’ and ‘The awakening’

• We chose to do an investigation:- We imagined how the person

being interrogated would be in a pale room which looks isolated.

- We also deliberated how the investigator should be presented, should he be aggressive or more sinister

- how the person being interrogated should behave, should they be cheeky and try and make fun of the investigator or be nervous

General ideasWe have created a mind map on our ideas which are the following:

• Creepy intense music - (This type of film would fit with the genre as, it would create an uncomfortable feeling which we want our audience to feel)

• Opening titles and credits - (We want our audience to know who the directors and producers are)

• Emphasised dietetic sound - ( This kind of music would make the audience jump andwould keep them in focus)

•Lack of non-diegetic sound – (This kind of music would make the audience concentrateon the current scene

• Fade out - ( This may be used at the end of a dramatic scene)

• Violent and sudden opening – (This would keep the audience interested and would want to watch more due to the dramatic opening)

General ideas

• Visions - (This would keep the audience thinking, whether or not the character is a Normal state or is in fact unwell
