Ingram Road Primary School
Ingram Road Primary School is at the heart of our community. This is something that we are very proud of and that we work very hard to sustain. Our school, which includes 52 fully-flexible Nursery places, is always a happy throng of bustling activity. We note with pride that visitors frequently comment on the happy atmosphere, our obvious commitment to inclusive education and the way that we strive to maintain a high quality teaching and learning experience for all children.
Every day we ensure that our children are presented with new challenges, exciting experiences and choices to make to broaden their understanding of our Community, the Environment and of each other. We encourage the celebration of achievements, big and small, to motivate and inspire young minds.
We place a high value on establishing close links between home, community and school so that we can effectively work together to ensure that every child achieves their potential.
Parents and Carers are always welcome in school. There are many opportunities to share in special events across the year such as assemblies and concerts. We encourage you to share in your child’s progress through talking to their teachers, coming in to see their work and through our annual written reports. We also try to keep you informed about school life through our regular newsletters and our website.
We warmly welcome parental involvement. We encourage parents to come along to parent events and courses for parents in school. We also appreciate parents who are able to volunteer in school in class, in Breakfast Club or to hear readers. We hold many fundraising events throughout the year to enable us to provide extra-curricular activities and to fund school trips to enhance the curriculum.
‘The Haven’ is a dedicated space for parents and carers to take part in courses and drop-ins. It is regularly used by other community groups and organisations and enhances our commitment to the social well-being and cohesion of our local community as a whole.
Yours sincerely,
Miss Sarah Millard Headteacher
