COLLABORATION
YEARS OF HERITAGE
In the modern office space, there is an increased focus on the equitable exchange of ideas. Borrowing from cultural ideals of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples that centre on communal meeting spaces, the Yarning Circle was born – a modular lounge design that is adaptable to any working space.
The Yarning Circle encourages, in the spirit
of meeting rituals of the First Nation peoples, collaboration and respectful interaction. It is a space free from hierarchy, one that grounds team members and stimulates collective productivity.
Flexibility and adaptability were key criteria in the Yarning design, focusing on group unity and incorporating technology, spatial awareness and freedom to choose environments that allow you to work at your best.

The Yarning Range consists of some 80 different building blocks which are all part of a modular system. The different and integrated table elements can almost endlessly be connected and reconfigured, with integrated power and data supply and many interesting

functional details in order to support activity based working in the best possible way... Yarning adapts to every environment, to every style and optimally supports diverse activities. The straight, square, corner and rounded seating modules can be easily connected, and then complimented with the loose furniture elements, making the layout adaptable in the future and ensuring optimal use of the available square meters with plenty of room for creativity. 76
DETAILS
The different models of the Yarning range have fully integrated connectors at one or both sides in order to connect them to the adjacent element. Each order will be based on a 3D drawing of the entire configuration in order to determine the amount of connectors that is required. Especially when the configuration is placed on a smooth floor, these brackets prevent the individual seating modules of the configuration from moving away from each other.
The backs of all HIGH and MID modules are divided into two parts with a horizontal 18mm thick plinth in between. All elements with an intermediate plinth are also available with a worktop at the rear of the lounge.
Order processing requires indication of the inside and outside fabric type and colour of each element (or the entire configuration). Different colours and fabrics ranges can be mixed. Choose from standard fabrics or select your own.
All elements are provided with minimum 4 floor levellers allowing easy adjustment in case of uneven floors.

The high quality wood covers of the CONNECT and BRIDGE models are made of the bent plywood, laminated. The environmentally friendly coating avoids scratches in the surface. The 3 different colour options are indicated below and correspond to the colour options of the plinths and table tops, creating a uniform look.

In the vertical surface of the covers (as well as upholstered backside and bridge panels), a built-in power socket can be integrated. Besides the standard power sockets, other integrated options are also available on request.
BUILT-IN POWER SOCKET
The HIGH versions of the Yarning series have the possibility to integrate an LED-spotlight. Only the 30cm wide CONNECTING models can be equipped with this option. The light fixture is provided with a CE certificate and a 3 meter long power cord with plug.

Inside the seats Nosag springs increase the comfort. These metal springs protect the quality of the surface because the flexibility of the foam on top will remain longer and wrinkles in the fabric will be avoided.
Yarning is produced in FSC certified facilities and we operate with a network of FSC certified suppliers.
The upper part of the high & mid series are separated and can be installed without the use of tools at location. With special 'connection clickers' the different upholstered modules can be connected at location.
The carcass is made of chipboard, plywood and hardboard panels. Melamine plinths, in between covers, and bridge element in Laminated Melamine board.
All the upholstery products of Yarning are in standard fabric ranges.

Baiame’s Ngunnhu (buy-armies new-new). The oldest man- made structure on Earth has its roots in Brewarrina, NSW, and serves as the creative inspiration of our Baimes Ngunnhu breakout zones. Baimes Ngunnhu, a word from the Ngembah language, refers to an ancient type of fish trapping technology.
The intuitive design of these traps leveraged the natural flows of the ocean to collect food. Baimes Ngunnhu fish
traps involved strategically placing stones in a river, properly timing alongside tidal patterns to most effectively catch fish.
Built with that same spirit of embracing natural ebbs and flows to achieve synergy, the Baimes Ngunnhu is a hybrid of multiple environments connecting to a shared workspaces that extend to breakout areas for collaborative work activity.

TAGAI WORKSTATIONS AND COLLABORATION ZONES: Tagai has been created using natural structures to build environments modelled around team collaborations and aiding users through the ever-changing landscape of the modern office environment
Tagai is an integrated communal and private workspace based on the Tagai star constellation – a pattern of stars the Torres Strait Islanders relied on to navigate the seas.
The origin story of the Tagai constellation tells of a legend where a man and his 12-person crew set out on a sea voyage. Tagai, the leader of the journey, found that the crew had quickly and selfishly consumed all the food and water set aside for the voyage. As punishment for their actions, Tagai strung the 12 men together in two groups and threw them into the water. Floating on the surface of the sea, the men formed into a pattern: six representing the Orion constellation and six
representing the Pleiades constellation.
The myth inspires a communal spirit of shared resources and responsibility within a team, reflected in the Tagai workspace flexibility and modularity – which fuses shared collaboration with space dedicated to individual productivity and small meeting points.

Fire-stick farming is an ancient method of Aboriginal people who used low fuelled fire in a controlled and strategic pattern to manage the land sustainability for generations. (patch burning patterns is one of the methods used and forms the basic furniture design).
This was practiced across generations to maintain vegetation patterns, new growth in the bush and to attract wildlife for hunting. The consistent use of firestick
farming led to a diverse landscape of vegetation and large fire bushfires were extremely uncommon.
This practice is starting to re- introduced into contemporary land management methods by non-Indigenous Australia.

SPATIAL PLANTER STORAGE SYSTEMS
Improve your workspace look and feel with modular planters. SPATIAL PLANTERS are a premium range of cabinet planter boxes designed to be used on top of the SPATIAL TAMBOUR, SWINGDOOR, SLIDINGDOOR, LATERAL and BOOKCASE cabinets.
The planters consist of three nested components: a powder-coated steel tray with adjustable pot openings, waterproof ABS liner for support and moisture protection and a powder- coated steel carcass.
They can accept 200mm (8”) pots as standard, with a maximum aperture of 230mm (9”). SPATIAL PLANTERS are available in both plain and perforated fronts, which include sound absorbing acoustic panels as standard.
