This qualification provides a great foundation for anyone wanting to move into a technical role. You will learn the basics of working on an infrastructure worksite and have the option to specialise in one of five key areas: Bitumen Surfacing Construction, Civil, Forestry Earthworks, Pipeline Construction & Maintenance or Piling*.

INFRASTRUCTURE WORKS

As you work through this programme, you will learn to carry out infrastructure works safely and to a quality standard across a variety of infrastructure worksites.

LEARN HOW TO • Operate and maintain a small plant for infrastructure works • Work safely on an infrastructure worksite • Apply industry best practises • Work effectively using correct processes to carry out infrastructure works operations ENTRY REQUIREMENTSIt is recommended that those enrolling achieve the New Zealand Certificate in Infrastructure Works (Level 2) or demonstrate equivalent knowledge. HOW IT WORKSIt takes around 12 -15 months to complete this programme. This qualification is achieved through a mixture of on-job assessment and off-job workbooks.

WHERE THIS CAN TAKE YOUThis qualification can lead to a New Zealand Certificate in Infrastructure Works (Level 4) in Bitumen Surfacing Construction, Civil, Forestry Earthworks, Pipeline Construction & Maintenance or Piling*.
