l IQT employs small lightweight badges that automatically transmit infrared (IR) and radio frequency (RF) signals containing a unique identification code registered to a person or asset.
l The encoded badge information is received by sensors and receivers, and relayed to a central computer where the information can be used for location, time collection and other applications.

IQT uses a comprehensive network of sensors to ensure a seamless zone coverage :
1. Coded badge transmissions are detected by the sensors
2. Sensor information is decoded by a Collector and transferred to a data server on a LAN, via a concentrator
3. The data server distributes real-time locations and event information to the users
Viewing IQT InformationViewing Viewing IQT InformationInformationIQT information can be displayed in many ways. For example, the sorted list view can display in ‘real-time’: Badge number, Name, Status, Current Location, Time entering a location and the Telephone Extension number at a location.

l Confused patients can easily be monitored at all times and an alarm can be activated automatically if they wander into or out of designated areas
l Monitor infection control situations through a review of retrospective location information
