Transfer from the airport
Keflavík airport is situated 45 minutes away from Reykjavík. A bus leaves for the capital 40 mins after landing. It is called FLYBUS and you see it in front of the terminal building. The bus arrives at the Flybus terminal, near to the Reykjavík centre and your hotel. The price is ISK 1.300/around € 9 per person.

The schedule will become relevant concerning your departure.
Taxis are also available in front of the airport. The price can be approx ISK 8000 – 11.500 / approx € 60 - € 80 depending on the time of the day. Please note, that only bus tickets will be refunded.
How to get to your hotel
You will be staying at Hotel Örkin. We booked single rooms for four nights Nov. 25th - 28th. The hotel is situated in Brautarholt, only five to ten minutes walk north of the School of Education.

If you are contemplating to prolong your stay: One night in a single room is € 61 (including breakfast). Please get in touch with Ms. Klobucar to make sure that rooms are still available.

How to get to the School of Education (see map)
You can easily walk from the hotel in Brautarholt along the following route:
Skipholt (turn left)
Háteigsvegur (turn right)
At Háteigsvegur you will be able to spot the main entrance of the School of Education (see picture).
After having entered you will find signs that direct you to us.
The course fee is EUR 150.00. This includes:
• course participation
• course material
• accommodation
• coffee and lunch during course days
• social events
The fee will be due in Icelandic Kronas while the course is held. You will receive information on the payment modality and a possible lower fee on the first day of the course.
Your travelling costs are reimbursed, so please keep all flight, train and bus tickets; you will need to submit them to us in order to receive reimbursement. You have already sent us your banking information and flight invoices (incl. IBAN and Swift), so that we can transfer the specific amount to your account.
Budget allowing the course fee will be partially reimbursed in arrears.

o be ready to share your experiences of being a supervisor for master's/doctoral students (successful moments/challenging moments)
- If you have examples of 'best practice' doctoral programmrs and published thesis bring them with you – e.g. in electronic format.
- Bring a list of the educational networks and associations that you belong to.

- good walking shoes/swimming suit in case you are planning to explore the area or go to a thermal pool in your free time.
