• You may choose up to three choices anywhere in the state.

• You must place your choices in priority order.• Before making your choices, do your research- visit the

school or school websites of all of the schools that you are interested in applying for and see what they have to offer your child.

• Consider the following before making your decision:- transport/ distance;- programs offered by each school that best suit your

child’s interests and needs.- do not choose a school you don’t really want-

because your child may be offered a position at thisschool.

Order Of Choice. The order in which you place your school choices is most

important. Visit the school or the websites of the schools you are interested

in and see what each school has to offer before completing the application form as not all schools will suit all students.

List only the schools that you want to send your child to. When listing preferences ensure that you order the schools in

order of entry scores.(Ask your child’s teacher if you require assistance with this)Example 1- Incorrect preference choices:1.Caringbah High School (3)2. Sydney Girls HS (1)3. St George Girls HS (2)

These preference choices are in the incorrect order. If successful, your child will be offered Caringbah even if they score enough marks to gain entry to any or all of the schoolslisted as preferences 2 and 3. If you decline your first offer you will NOT be offered your second or third choice.
