CONCLUSION

•Disaster Preparedness Plan is better implemented by those keypersons (DILG, LGUs, DSWD, and other disaster preparedness and response agencies) who understood and who are aware of the basic concepts geohazards.

• Inter-operability among agencies

•Community geohazard map is an important tool in increasing the capacities of the communities.

•More rational development

•Reduced loss of lives and properties

CCOP-IUGS Task Group on Geohazards Joint Seminar, 53rd CCOP Annual Session, Cebu City, Philippines, 18 October 2017

RECOMMENDATION

•MGB’s geohazard susceptibility maps for worst-case scenario should be used by the barangays in their

barangay-based disaster risk reduction and management plan

contingency plan for climate change adaptation
