I am extremely happy to interact with you through this brochure. Dr. D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth has been recognized as
an institution that has been delivering a very high quality education with emphasis on interactive teaching
methods and focused research in diverse fields. DPU is known forAcademic Heritage, World Class Faculty, State-
of-the-art Infrastructure, International Teaching Pedagogies, Excellent Learning Environment, Dynamic
Research Culture and Emphasis on Overall Personality Development. Our curriculum innovations, include
enhancement of integrated modules, case based & rapid cycle learning methods, inclusion of patient safety &

OUR POINT OF PRIDE 89th AKHIL BHARATIYA MARATHI
SAHITYA SAMMELAN
The feather in the cap for the success of DPU was the 89th
Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan (All India Annual
Marathi Literary Meet) which was hosted by DPU from 15th
to 18th January, 2016. This event will truly go down to the
history not only of DPU but also of the great state of
Maharashtra as a grand success story. On an average
1,50,000 discerning people from India and abroad visited the
venue every day. A gigantic exhibition encompassing 400
book stalls truly representing the rich and vast culture of
reading and literary excellence of the people, recorded sales
of books worth Rs. 5.50 crores in four days. Speeches and
lectures, group discussions, panel discussions, poetry
reading sessions were thronged by astute readers in
thousands. The Sammelan was truly a Maha-Kumbh Mela of
all Marathi literature lovers.
Eminent luminaries, such as Mr. Devendra Fadanavis -
Hon'ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Mr. Nitin - Gadkari
Hon'ble Union Minister of Transport & Shipping, Mr. Vinod
Tawade - Hon'ble Minister of Education and Cultural Affairs,
Government of Maharashtra, Mr. Sharad Pawar - Former
Union Minister, Mr. Gulzar, Mr. Chetan Bhagar, Mr. Javed
Akhtar, Dr. Raghunath Mashelkar, Ms. Asha Bhosale, Mr.
Sushil Kumar Shinde, Dr. Vijay Bhatkar and other dignataries
etc. attended the Sammelan. Gyanpeeth Award Winners
were Padmavibhushan Sitakant Mahapatra, Padmashri Satya
Vrat Shastri, Padmashri Rehman Rahi, as well as, Padmashri
Pratibha Ray also felicitated in the Sammelan. Renowned
Marathi Author Dr. Shripal Sabnis President the Sammelan.
DPU has granted a sum of Rs. 15.00 lacs to three eminent
personalities for promotion and propagation of Marathi
language and literature in the field of education. The entire
contribution collected towards the rent of book stalls and the
delegate registration charges were donated with additional
amount making a total of Rs. 1.00 crore to NAAM foundation
for helping the families of farmers in the drought prone area,
who have committed suicide.

Philosophy
Dr.D.Y.Patil Vidyapeeth believes in proper systematic teaching, training and research in Medical Sciences and uniformity in medical andallied health sciences. The philosophy of the P. B. B. Sc.(N) is incorporated by Dr.D.Y.Patil Vidyapeeth at par with Nursing Council.Indian Nursing Council believes that, Health is a state of well-being that enables a person to lead a psychologically, socially andeconomically productive life.
Nursing contributes to the health services in vital and significant way in the health care delivery system. It organizes national healthgoals and is committed to participate in the implementation of National Health policies and programmes. It aims at identifying healthneeds of the people, planning and providing quality care in collaboration with other health professionals and community groups.
Scope of nursing practice encompasses provision of promotive curative and rehabilitative aspects of care to people across theirlife span in wide variety of health care settings. Practice of Nursing is based upon application of basic concepts and principles derivedfrom the physical, biological and behavioral sciences.
Undergraduate nursing program at the post basic level is a broad based education within an academic framework, which builds upon theskills and competencies acquired at the diploma level. It is specifically directed to the upgrading of critical thinking skills,competencies& standards required for practice of professional nursing and midwifery as envisaged in National Health Policy 2002.
The teachers have the responsibility to be role models and create environment that enables students to acquire inquirydriven, self-directed learning and foster attitude of lifelong learning.

The College has spacious lecture halls. The desks are well spaced
out and halls are well ventilated. Each hall also has the latest
audio-visual teaching aids.

The Auditorium is spacious, centrally air-conditioned with
ergonomically designed chairs and is fully equipped with latest
audio-video facilities with seating capacity of 250 and is being
extensively used for all kinds of seminars, symposia and lecture
of guest speakers.
Central Library
The College has an excellent central library facility. It has a total
floor area of 4500 sq. meter, with a provision for a separate
reading room for the teaching staff and spacious reading halls to
accommodate over 750 students. The total collection of the
central library is more than 30,000 volumes.
Reading Room
Library subscribes to most of the national and international
journals required for the undergraduate and post-graduate
students and faculty. In addition to the central library facility, the
college has its Department Library. The Reading Room of the
central library is kept open for 16 hours a day. The central library
has been provided with Internet facility and students and the
faculty have open access to this facility.

Objectives
On completion of B.Sc. Nursing (Post-Basic) degree programme the graduates will be able to:

Annual fees payable by the candidates under different category is as follows:

University Eligibility & Registration Fee (One-time Fee)
15% (Fifteen Percent) of the Annual Fee, payable for the first year only, shall be paid by the student separately at the time of filling in theEligibility Application, as University Eligibility & Registration Fee. This fee shall be paid by a Demand Draft (DD) Drawn in favour of“Registrar, Dr. D.Y.Patil Vidyapeeth, Pimpri” payable at Pune.

University Examination Fee
In addition to the above fees the student shall pay the University Examination Fee as prescribed by the University from time to time.Other conditions and formalities shall be as per the Rules of the University.
Rules for cancellation of anAdmission and Refund of Fees:
• Admission to the course can be cancelled at the request of the student, on submission of an application, within time.

Ragging:
Ragging in any form is a punishable offence in accordance withthe “UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging inHigher Educational Institutions, 2009”, and committing this actof indiscipline shall result in punishment under the provisions ofany penal law for the time being in force. On admission,candidates will be provided with detailed guidelines related toRagging.
As per the recent UGC Regulations, the affidavits to be filed bythe Student and their parent about the anti-ragging regulations ofUGC, these affidavits need not be on stamp paper nor need to beregistered. On the Contrary they should be submitted by theadmitted students by submitting these affidavits on-line. As perUGC regulations mandatory affidavits should be submittedby all old and fresh students and parents / guardians on theUGC website - www.antiragging.in display the step by stepguide on "How to fill an online anti ragging undertaking bythe student and parent / guardian".
Disputes
Difference of opinion and any dispute arising in theinterpretation and implementation of the clauses in thisbrochure, if any, shall be referred to the Vice-Chancellor ofDr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pimpri, Pune and his decisionshall be final and binding on all the concerned.
Court Jurisdiction
Any legal dispute arising out of the admission procedure ofthe course and refund of fees of the Vidyapeeth shall beunder Pune jurisdiction only.
Warning
The candidate seeking admissions to any of the course ofthe University is warned against possible cheating byunscrupulous persons, who may promise and assure seatsby extract ing large sums of money, from theparents/candidates. The University has not appointed anysuch agent(s). The University shall not, in any way, beresponsible for the misdeeds of such person(s).
Discipline & Conduct of Rules
1. It is imperative that the students strictly adhere to theday of opening and closing of each term duringacademic year.
2 The students must be present for all class tests, mid-term tests, terminal and preliminary examinations.Strict disciplinary action is taken against those studentswho fail to attend the tests, Practical, Dissections,Tutorials, Demonstration beside clinics and theoryclasses etc.
3. The students should complete all the term work such asJournals, charts or any other assignments as perschedule.
4. The students and parents should specially note that if astudent fails to complete the term work regularly and
has poor academic performance, he/she will not begranted the term and will not be allowed to appear forthe university examination.
5. The students should note that, he/she is responsible tothe authorities of the institute not only for his/herconduct in the premises; but also for the conduct ingeneral, out side the premises as well as theparticipation in any political/antisocial activities etc. Ifhe/she is found involved in such activities, strictdisciplinary action be taken against him/her.
6. The students should help in maintaining the buildingdecorum and the campus of the institute.
7. If a students remains absent for lectures, practicals orclass tests/examination without prior permission of theDean or the Head of the departments, he/she be finedalong with other punishments of academic nature asdirected by the authorities.
8 The students should read the notices displayed onvarious notice boards in the academic complex, libraryand the department regularly.
9. As per the rules and regulations of the statutorycouncils and the Vidyapeeth, 80% attendance in non-lecture teaching i.e. seminars, group discussion,tutorials, demonstrations, practicals, hospital postingand 100% bedside clinics etc. is compulsory. Further,the student must secure at least 50% marks for the totalmarks fixed for internal assessment in particularsubject in order to be eligible to appear in finaluniversity examination of that subject.
10. If the student remains absent from the institute for acontinuous period of ten days without prior permissionof the Dean, the management reserves the right tocancel his/her name from the roll. Such a student willnot be entitled for any refund of fees.
11. Ragging is a serious conizable offence. Ragging thestudents in any form within or outside the college andhostel premises is strictly prohibited. Miscreants willbe expelled from the institute instantly.
12. The Principal reserves the right to remove from the rollthe name of any student for failure to pay thecollege/hostel dues in time.
13. Consuming alcoholic drinks and drugs is strictlyprohibited in the premises of the college and hostel.Involvements found in such thing will be deal withseriously.
14 Damaging the property of the college and its sisterinstitutes, e.g. tampering with with fixtures, fitting,equipments, instruments, furniture books, periodicals,walls, window, panels, vehicles will be viewed veryseriously and is likely to result in instant expulsion ofthe student from college.

1. Introduction
The admissions to Post Basic B.Sc. (P.B.B.Sc. Nursing) course shall be carried out on the basis of the merit as ascertainedfrom the performance of the candidates in All India Allied Common Health Entrance Test 2017 (AIAHCET-17) conductedby this University and their respective preference(s) given in application form.
Note: Entrance test will be based on GNM Syllabus by INC 50 MCQ'S of 100 marks of one hour & 30 min. duration. There will be nonegative marking.

3. Procedure and Definitions
General Category :
Admissions under this category shall be made on the basisof inter-se merit of the candidates qualified atAIAHCET-17.
NRI/PIO/FN Category :
Candidate under this category is not required to appear forAIAHCET-17. Admissions will be made on the basis ofinter-se merit as determined by admission committeeappointed for the purpose by the Competent authority.
The candidate will be required to pay processing fee ofU.S. $ 200.
In case any seat earmarked for NRI / PIO / FNs is not filledin by the candidates of any of these sub-categories, themanagement shall fill in such vacant seat(s) from thecandidate(s) who has / have cleared the AIAHCET-17 andhas / have applied for the seat separately in the prescribedform available in the Vidyapeeth office.
In this context, the bonafide NRIs, PIOs and ForeignNationals are defined as follows:
An NRI is a person who is “not a resident” or who is “notordinarily resident”. A person is treated as “not ordinarilyresident” (i) if he / she has been resident in India for lessthan 182 days in the year preceding the date of application;or (ii) If he / she has been in India for less than 365 daysduring the four years immediately preceding the date ofapplication.
A PIO is a person having foreign citizenship (exceptPakistan and Bangladesh) within NRI status, but who holdsa foreign passport at the time of sending application or atthe time of consideration for admission and during theperiod of his study for courses and whose one / both parentsor anyone / both grand parents is (or was) are (or were),citizen(s), of India by virtue of the provisions of theConstitution of India or Section 2(b) of Citizenship Act1955 (Act. No. 57 of 1955).
Instructions to CandidatesCandidates are advised to:
1. To read the instructions for filling up the application form given in the brochure.
2. To affix photographs on the application form, Admit Card & Letter of Authorization (for Representation during selection process)taken from the same negative.
3. To verify that the application form is signed by the candidate, candidate's parent/guardian and that the photograph is duly attested bythe Head of the Institution along with the official seal, before submitting.
4. To preserve the Fee Receipt andAdmit Card safely and bring the same to the Test hall and produce it on demand.
5. To use only for marking responses (answers) and for all other entries.black ballpoint pen
6. To note that issue ofAdmit Card is just a provision for appearing inAIAHCET-17 and does not imply that the candidate is eligible foradmission.
7. To occupy the seat in the test hall at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the Test, and in any case, not after 11.30 am.
8. Not to bring calculators, calculating devices like Cellular (mobile) phone / pager, etc. in the test hall.
9. To enter theAIAHCET-17 Seat Number carefully on the answer sheet.
10. Not to remove any page(s) from the Test Booklet. If any page(s) is/are found missing from his/her Test Booklet, he/she will beproceeded against and shall be liable for criminal action.
11. Not to leave the test hall till the completion of Test, and handing over theAnswer Sheet and Test Booklet to the invigilator.

An FN is a person having citizenship of a foreign country(any country other than India) and not having the status“NRI” and / or “PIO”.
Important : Under the NRI, PIO and FN categories, onlythose students who have studied and passed the qualifyingexamination from school and / or colleges located in foreigncountries (all countries other than India) shall beconsidered. This will include the students studying inschools and colleges situated in the foreign countries, evenif the concerned school/ college is affiliated to any Board ofSecondary Education or a University in India. However,wards of NRIs, PIOs or FNs, who are studying for thequalifying examination in schools located in India, areexcluded.
4. Eligibility
Only the candidate, who satisfies or is likely to satisfy thefollowing eligibility requirements for admission to thecourses, shall be considered eligible to appear for theAIAHCET-17. Admissions of the students for P.B.B. Sc.(Nursing) shall be once in a year.
4.1 Nationality andAge
The candidate, seeking to appear at the AIAHCET-17 shallbe an Indian national.
Qualifications
i) The candidate, seeking admission to the P.B.B. Sc.(Nursing), shall have passed the RGNM / GNMexamination.
2) A candidate, who has appeared or is likely to appearfor qualifying examination, i.e. RGNM / GNM andwhose results have not been declared at the time ofAIAHCET-17, shall be considered eligible to appearforAIAHCET-17
Eligibility for NRI / PIO / FN
1. Diploma in General Nursing from a recognizedSchool of Nursing.
2. Minimum 50% marks in Subjects as per INC Syllabusof RGNM programme.
3. Equivalence certificate from INC, New Delhi.
5. Application Procedure
The candidate is advised not to submit the application formfor AIAHCET-17, if he/she does not fulfill any of the abovementioned eligibility requirements. If a candidate fails tofulfill the relevant eligibility requirements, mentioned at 1and 2, he / she shall not be considered eligible for seekingadmission to the course, even if he/she is placed in the meritlist of theAIAHCET-17.
A candidate desirous of appearing at the AIAHCET-17, isrequired to complete the prescribed application formappended to this brochure (available on the Vidyapeethwebsite) and submit the same by onlin or downloadedapplication form should be submitted to the “Registrar,Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth”, Pimpri, Pune – 411 018 withthe processing fee and entrance test fee on or before thescheduled date.

6. Instructions for Completing theApplication For
6.1 The application form in this brochure is for theAIAHCET-17 for admission to the coursescommencing in the year 2017 only.
6.2 The candidate shall avoid overwriting, cutting,erasing on the form. Any discrepancies in thestatements and / or submission of incomplete formmay lead to rejection of the form.
6.3 Black ballpoint pen be used for filling in theapplication form. All the entries in the form should bein CAPITALLETTERS only.
6.4 Squares provided in the application form are only forwriting alphabet in capitals or numerical forindicating name or appropriate numbers. The alphabetor the number written in the square should not touchthe edge of the square as shown below.
6.5 Fill in the squares legibly and clearly withoutoverwriting.
6.6 The name mentioned in the form by the candidateshould be the same as in the documents of 10+2examinations. One square should be used only for onealphabet. Please leave one blank square betweenadjacent words. For example, the name Patil AmitaShekhar should be written as follows:
6.7 If the number of a date or month of birth is a singledigit, it shall be prefixed with zero. For example, 1stJanuary, 2000 should be written as :
6.8 The candidate shall write '1' for the course he/shedesires to have as first choice and '2' for second choice.If he/she does not want a particular course as secondchoice the box may be kept blank
6.9 A passport size photograph shall be affixed to theapplication form and the attached admit card at theappropriate place. The photograph (taken from thesame negative) shall be firmly affixed by using gum. Itshall not be pinned. The photograph shall be attestedby the Principal/Head of the institution where thecandidate has studied or by a gazetted officer. Theattestation of the photograph shall be done in such away that the photograph is not defaced.
6.10 The declaration in application form shall be signedboth by the applicant and the mother/father/guardianof the applicant.
6.11 Address shall be written in capital letters. Use ' 'wherever required as shown in the example. Forexample, if the address is , write73/4, 'Adarsh Nagar'as :-

6.12 Confirm by darkening the circle whether thecandidate has offered these subjects at RGNM.examination.
6.13 Columns for the year of passing 10th and 12thstandard examination should be filled properly. Forexample, if the year is 2017, it should be filled asfollows :
If appearing for RGNM examination, darken the circle.
6.14 The candidate shall indicate his/her choice of centreby darkening the appropriate circle.
6.15 The candidate is required to enclose photocopies of allrelevant certificates with the application form.
6.16 The candidate shall invariably mention the number ofhis / her application form (as printed on it) and his / hername on the back of his / her demand draft.
6.17 An incomplete application form and an applicationform which is not accompanied by the prescribed feeshall not be entertained and processed. This fee shouldnot be sent by money order.
7. Application Form
7.1 The application must reach the University on or beforelast dates mentioned in the 'Important Information at aGlance.'
7.2 The University shall not be responsible for any delayor loss of the application / admit card / or any othercommunication in transit. Such a delay shall not becondoned.
7.3 Any application received by the University after duedate, shall not be entertained nor the fees shall be Sentback to the Candidate. No claim regarding such delayof applications shall be entertained nor communicatedto the Candidates. It shall be total responsibility of theCandidate to take proper care to reach the applicationform on or before due date of submission.
8. Issue ofAdmit cards
8.1 All the candidates who have submitted the applicationform by offline or by online are required to downloadthe Admit Card online two weeks before the day ofAIAHCET-17. The admit card will indicate the seatnumber, the examination centre (with its address)allotted to the candidate.
8.2 The candidate shall not mutilate the admit card orchange any entry made therein after it has beenauthenticated by the University authorities.
9. Conduct at the All India Entrance Test - 2017(AIAHCET-17)
9.1 The candidate shall report at the centre at least 30minutes before the scheduled time of commencementof the Test.
9.2 The Test hall shall be opened 30 minutes before thecommencement of the test. The candidate is expectedto take the seat at least 20 minutes before thecommencement of the Test. If the candidate does notreport in time he/she is likely to miss some of the
important instructions, which would be announced inthe Test hall.
9.3 The candidate shall not be allowed to appear for theTest if he/she reaches the Test hall after 11.30 a.m.
9.4 The candidate shall bring the admit card and show thesame, for admission to the Test hall. A candidate, whodoes not have the admit card shall not be admitted tothe Test hall under any circumstances. The candidatemust preserve the admit card till the end of AdmissionProcess.
9.5 A seat with a number shall be allotted to eachcandidate in the Test hall,
9.6 A candidate shall not be allowed to carry, inside theTest hall, any text material, printed or handwritten,chits or any other material, except the admit card andthe writing material. The candidate shall not bepermitted to bring calculators, slide rules, clerk tables,electronic watches with facilities of calculators,laptop computers, personal stereo systems, walkie-talkie sets, paging devices, mobile telephones or anysuch objects/ devices in the Test hall. Possession oruse of any such devices during the Test is prohibitedand the candidate shall be liable to be expelled, iffound using or possessing them.
9.7 The candidate shall not be allowed to go outside theTest hall in the entire duration of the Test. Once thecandidate leaves the hall (even for answering a call ofnature), he/she will not be readmitted to the Test hall.No exception will be made in this regard.
9.8 Parents, relatives or friends of the candidate shall notbe allowed to enter into the premises of the centre.
9.9 The candidate is advised to bring with him/her a cardboard or a clip board, on which nothing should havebeen written. The board shall be useful to them whilewriting the responses in the answer sheet, in case thetables in the Test hall do not have smooth surfaces.
9.10 Smoking, drinking any beverage, eating anything inthe Test hall is strictly prohibited.
9.11 The candidate shall maintain perfect silence anddiscipline in the Test hall. Any conversation,gesticulation or disturbance in the Test hall shall beconsidered as misbehaver and the candidate involvedin such behavior shall be expelled from the Test hall.Similarly, if any candidate is found using unfairmeans or is allowing someone else to impersonatehim/her, his/her candidature at the Test shall becancelled on the spot.
9.12 During the test, the invigilator may check the admitcard of the candidates to satisfy about the identity ofeach candidate. The invigilator shall also put his/hersignature in the place provided in the answer sheet onSIDE-1.
9.13 After completing the Test and before handing over theTest Booklet and the Answer Sheet back to theinvigilator, the candidate shall check once again to seewhether all the particulars required in the Test bookletand the answer sheet have been correctly written.

He/she shall ensure that the seat number, the centrecode, the Test booklet number and code are correctlywritten on the answer sheet.
9.14 A warning bell shall be sounded 5 minutes before thebeginning of the test and once again to mark the half-time of the test time. A bell shall also be sounded 5minutes before the closing time when the candidatemust stop marking the responses or writing. The lastbell shall be given at the end.
10. Mode of the test
The test consists of one question paper of 50 marks.The question paper consists of FIFTY objective-typeMultiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The duration ofthe test is one and half hrs.
11. Test Booklet
11.1 The candidate shall be provided with a sealed TestBooklet 5 minutes before the schedule time of theTest. The candidate is advised to use black ballpointpen only for filling in the required information. Thecandidate is advised to open/break the seal of the testbooklet only after he/she is instructed to do so by theinvigilator.
11.2 In the test booklet, there will be 50 items/questionsserially numbered from 001 to 50. Each item/questionshall have four options marked (A), (B), (C) and (D).Out of these four options, only one will be correct. Thecorrect options should be selected and marked on theanswer sheet.
12. TheAnswer Sheet
12.1 An answer sheet shall be given to the candidates 15minutes before the scheduled time of the test.
12.2 This answer sheet is of a special type and shall bescanned on the computer by ICR. Therefore, thecandidate shall handle the answer sheet very carefully.There will be two sides of the answer sheet.
12.3 This side of the answer sheet begins withSide -I :instructions. The following information is to be filledneatly and accurately:

12.5 The candidate is advised to decide about theanswer before marking it on the answer sheet.He/she should ensure that the circle is completelydarkened. A lightly or faintly darkened circle is awrong method of marking and may be rejected bythe ICR.
12.6 If the candidate does not want to attempt anyparticular question, he is advised to leave circles givenagainst that question blank.
12.7 The candidate shall neither fold the answer sheetnor make any stray marks / remarks on it.
13. Changing an Answer
13.1 If a candidate wants to change any answermarked by him on the answer sheet, he shallcompletely erase the existing mark and then darkenthe appropriate circle. Candidate must not leave anyvisible mark in the circle after erasing. Otherwise theresponse may be rejected by the ICR. Such erasingcan be avoided if the circles are darkenedthoughtfully.
13.2 Test booklet number and Code as filled in by thecandidate in the answer sheet, shall be accepted asfinal for the purpose of evaluation. When thebooklet number is left blank or more than onebooklet numbers are indicated on the answer sheet,it shall be deemed as incorrect booklet number andsuch answer sheet shall not be evaluated.
14. Use only Black Ballpoint Pen
The candidate shall bring his/her own writingmaterials. In case ballpoint pen of any colour otherthan black is used, the answer sheet may be rejected/may not be read by the ICR. Under suchcircumstances the entire responsibility shall rest withthe candidate.

15. Important instructions for marking.
15.1 Marking shall be dark and shall completely fill thecircle.
15.2 Darken only one circle for each question.
15.3 Do not fold the answer sheet or make any stray markson it.
15.4 Make the marks only in the spaces provided.
15.5 There shall be no negative markings.
16. Rough Work
The candidate shall not do any rough work or writingwork on the answer sheet. All rough work shall bedone in the Test booklet itself.
17. Merit List
17.1 The University shall prepare a merit list of thecandidates who have appeared for AIAHCET-17 inaccordance with the total marks obtained by them inPhysics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology takentogether. The candidates shall be called for admissionas per their ranking in this list.
17.2 The merit list will be displayed on the Vidyapeethwebsite: www.dpu.edu.in Eligible candidates will becalled for counseling and on-the-spot admissionsession. There shall be no verification of marks orreassessment of papers ofAIAHCET-17.
17.3 In case more than one candidate haveTie-breakers :obtained equal marks at the AIAHCET-17, thefollowing procedure shall be adopted for decidinginter-se merit:
Acandidate with higher marks in BiologyFirst level:at the AIAHCET-17 shall be preferred. If the tie tillpersists.
A candidate with higher marks inSecond level:Chemistry at the AIAHCET-17 shall be preferred. Ifthe tie still persists.
A candidate with higher percentage ofThird level:aggregate marks at the HSC (or equivalent)examination shall be preferred. If the tie still persists.
A candidate with higher percentage ofFourth level:aggregate marks at SSC examination shall bepreferred.
18. Admission Session
18.1 The admission sessions will be conducted at theDr. D. Y. Patil College of Nursing, Pimpri, Pune-18 asper the schedule. Failure to report for admission on thescheduled date and time shall result in instantaneouscancellation of the claim of the candidate to the seat. Itshall be the candidate's responsibility to ascertain theresult ofAIAHCET-17.
18.2 O n l y t h e c a n d i d a t e a n d o n e o f h i s / h e rparents/guardian shall be allowed into the admissionhall. The candidates shall be called in, in the order oftheir ranking in the merit list.
18.3 The candidate should note that appearance atAIAHCET-17 and inclusions of name in the merit list
do not necessarily mean that he/she shall getadmission to the course. His/her admission to thecourse shall depend upon the availability of seat at thetime of his/her turn for admission.
18.4 At the time of reporting for the admission, thecandidate shall produce the documents (original andtwo sets of photocopies) and an affidavit as indicatedin the University letter for counseling / Universitywebsite. If the candidate is admitted to the course,these documents shall be retained by the Universitytill he / she completes the course. If the candidate failsto produce all or any of these documents, his/her claimfor a seat shall instantaneously stand forfeited.
18.5 The selected candidate shall be required to pay theentire amount of annual fee and the Universityeligibility fee on the day of on - the spot admissionitself, through a D. D. drawn on a nationalized bankfavouring the Registrar, Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth,Pimpri, Pune payable at Pune. In case the candidatefails to pay the entire amount of fees, he / she shall losehis / her claim for admission to that seat. SeparateD. D. for Vidyapeeth Eligibility fees be brought,while attending the counseling and admissionsession.
18.6 If any candidate finds it impossible to be physicallypresent for the admission session due to unavoidablecircumstances, he/she may authorise any otherresponsible individual to represent him/her foradmission session. This representative must carrywith him/her a Letter of Authorisation, in the format,available on the University website, as well as all thedocuments required. If the candidate or his/herrepresentative fails to report for the admission sessionon the date and time mentioned in the schedule ofadmission, his/her claim for admission to the courseshall stand forfeited.
18.7 Admissions made at the admission sessions areprovisional, subject to verification of eligibility by theUniversity.
19. Waiting List
19.1 A waiting list for admission to the course shall beprepared and notified on the University notice board.The candidate, who desires to have his/her nameincluded in the waiting list, shall submit theapplication for inclusion. If no such application, inwriting, is submitted during the interview, thecandidate's name shall not be included in the waitinglist.
19.2 The seat which becomes vacant during the admissionsession, shall be kept vacant. The waiting list of thecourse shall become operative from 1st August 2017onwards and the candidate(s) in the waiting list shallbe offered seats as per availability of seat(s). Thewaiting list shall be operative till all the vacant seat(s)are filled in or till 30th September 2017 (cut-off date),whichever is earlier.

display various skills and talents and improve their team approach and National spirit.Students celebrate Annual Day as Spectrum every year where they take part in sports, hair style, elocution, Rangoli,
Mehendi, Indoor games and cultural activities competitions and get certificate and prizes for securing 1st rank. Every year
students celebrate International Nurses Week on the occasion of Birthday of Ms. Florence Nightingale, founder of Nursing
Profession on 12th May. During this week one of theme is declared by International Councils of Nurses and as per that theme
staff and students take part in different activities and contribute on the health theme and give message in the society for whole
year. This helps the students to show their talent in professional activities, National Health Programmes and overall
personality development. Through all these activities potential leaders, teachers, educators and researchers are developed
through the college.

· Duration of the course shall be two years (four semesters).
· Entire course need to be completed within 4 Years duration or else the student need to start the course again fromfirst year.
· Course duration = 2 years (four semesters).
· Weeks available per Semester = 22-29 weeks/Semester
· Vacation = 4-6 weeks / year
· Gazetted holidays = As per Dr D Y Patil University
· Examination = 4 weeks
