Instruction Booklet-for admission to Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing 2011-12

Rajasthan University of Health Sciences invites application for admission to

Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing (2 years) 2011-12.

1. SEATS RESERVATIONS

(a) Total No. of seats for Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing sanctioned by I.N.C. & Govt. of

Rajasthan and RUHS is 25 at Govt. College of Nursing, Jaipur and approx

number of seats in private Nursing colleges attached to RUHS is

approximately 318 (Seats may increase or decrease).

(b) The percentage of female candidates shall not be less than 50% of the total

seats in all categories. (As per Ordinances Related to Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing-0.299-PB-1)

(c) The course of study leading to Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Degree shall consist of

two academic years i.e.: Previous and Final year. (0.299-PB-2)

(d) 16%, 12%, 21% and 1% of total seats will be reserved for natural born

candidates of SC, ST, OBC and SBC as notified in the presidential order for the

state of Rajasthan Govt. orders.(0.299-PB-5)

(e) 3% seats will be reserved for physically Handicapped on Horizontal basis in

their respective categories. (0.299-PB-6)

(f) Any order given by Govt. of Rajasthan time to time regarding reservation will

be followed at the time of counseling.

2. ELIGIBILITY Criteria / Admission Requirements :

l. For Non-Service Candidates:

Candidate must fulfill the criteria for eligibility as listed below:

(a) Should have passed the Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary or

Intermediate or 10 + 2 or an equivalent examination recognized by the

University for this purpose with GNM Diploma.

(b) Should have obtained a diploma in General Nursing before the

implementation of new integrated course and should be registered as

Registered Nurse with their respective State Nursing Council.

(c) Should have obtained a diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery after the

implementation of the new integrated course and registered as Registered

candidate will be allowed to serve in any other Institute during the

course of study. (0.299-PB-4)

The candidate who is already in job shall have to submit copy of

relieving orders from the employer.

VII. DETAILS OF COUNSELING

The Candidate will be required to attend the counseling for admission on

his/her own expenses on scheduled dates & place, details of which will be notified

through media. No individual intimation will be sent in this regard.

Note :

(1) The vacancies arising due to not joining of the candidates within the

stipulated time shall be filled by candidates from the merit list on merit

basis at the earliest.

(2) In case of the tie position between two or more than two candidates

selection shall be made in following order (A) Numbers of attempts for

passing general Nursing Examination, (B) Date of birth of the candidate

older will get preference (C) percentage of marks obtained at the Higher

Sec. or Sr. secondary examination respectively be considered. (0.299-

PB-8)

VIII. IMPORTANT POINTS

The fee is non-refundable in any case. Therefore, the candidates are advised to

ensure his/her eligibility before submitting the form.

It should be carefully noted that if the required documents/certificates are not

attached, the application form will be rejected without any notice.

The certificate to be submitted by the In-Service candidates should clearly

indicate that the person concerned is serving the Government of Rajasthan for

atleast 2 years, after regular selection failing which the application form will be

rejected. No addition/alteration be made on the prescribed certificate.

Application form of Govt. In-Service candidate is required to be sent throughthe Director/Addl. Director of Medical and Health Services, Government of

Rajasthan, Jaipur. The form of In-Service candidates received directly will be

rejected.

The Jurisdiction of the Court Cases will be atJaipur.

Enclosures Required:

1. Attested copy of Date of Birth Certificate (Secondary School

Examination Certificate)

2. Attested copy of Senior Secondary or quaffing examinations

Mark-sheet.

3. Attested copy of provisional certificate of Diploma in Nursing/

Diploma in Nursing.4. Attested copy of Mark-sheet of First Nursing Examination.

5. Attested copy of Mark-sheet of Second Nursing Examination.

6. Attested copy of Mark-sheet of Third Nursing Examination.

7. Attested copy of Mark-sheet of Internship.

8. Certificate from DMHS, Jaipur in the enclosed prescribed form for

in-Service candidates only.

9. Attested copy of Caste Certificate issued by Competent

Authority only. OBC/SBC candidate should submit certificate issued on or after

01-04-2011.

10. Attested copy of R.N./R.M. certificate duly renewed.

11. Attested copy of Medial certificate for Physically Handicapped

[Only forPhysically Handicapped]

12. Application form can be downloaded form University

website www.ruhsraj.org. which is effective form 07-06-2011 or can be

obtained form office of Convener, Post basic B.Sc. (N), University of

Health Sciences, Kumbha Marg, Sector 18, Pratap Nagar, Jaipur, 302033.

13. Last date of receiving completed Application form along

with attested copies of requisite certificates and DD of Rs. 700/- drawn

in favour of Regestrar, Rajasthan University of Health Sciences,

Jaipur so as to reach Convener Post Basic B.Sc. (N) RUHS latest by

5:00 PM of 02-07-2011.

Last Date and Time of submitting Application Form: 5.00 P.M.on 02-07-2011

Note: - RUHS shall not be repressible for any postal delay hence

candidates are advised to submit/post the application form well in time.
