The Infor MES Suite currently consists of three modules:

Production Operations Manufacturing Data Collection and Communications (MDCC) Lean Execution and Planning (LEAP)

Quality Assurance Operations Quality Management (QM)

* Available with XA, but not included in the MES Suite

LEAP was created with one focus in mind. Providing practical yet innovative technical solutions specifically designed to support your lean initiatives!

“Visual” execution is clearly one of the cornerstone philosophies of lean. LEAP was designed to combine the best pieces of traditional shop floor execution tools with the best of lean practices. KanBan execution and management fully integrated with traditional work orders or schedules!

Paper-Less LEAP – Sample Setup Screens

From the main menu you can perform all the setup functions



You can define work center/cell defaults including TAKT rates, machines, shift schedules, etc.



…then you can define item specific defaults such as the container used, the container quantity, the number of Kanbans required, replenishment rules, images to print on the Kanban card…and much more!



Next you can define where it’s made, where it goes, how it’s supplied, set warning limits, add attachments such as drawings, production information, quality tests, and so on…



and finally, you can print Kanban cards using our “standard” format, or PBLSi to redesign and print virtually any format label or card that you require!

LEAP in action…



Paper-Less LEAP – The Production Board

You can define and view a “real time” production board. The rate board tracks and shows

hourly production information including accumulative totals, provides access to critical Kanban information and even a Kanban transaction history for the shift!…


Paper-Less LEAP – Reporting production activities

You can process empty/full bin transactions, including the ability to backflush the components used during production without an M.O!


Paper-Less LEAP – Scheduling

You can view scheduled and unscheduled orders and Kanbans, and even use drag- and-drop to make schedule changes between machines and/or work centers !


And it’s all fully integrated with MDCC. LEAP combines traditional manufacturing orders side-by-side with Kanbans…. It’s the best of both worlds!
