Rarely have we had the opportunity to see such remarkable “non-industrial” furniture, manufactured with high-tech but hand-made uniqueness. Remarkable for the symbiosis of material and form, its high quality and respect for biology. Both the designer and producer, quite sensibility

and with specific tools, have created a rare and original aesthetic, functional and ecological, furniture culture. These are the optimal developments in the use of wood as a noble material.

“STANDARDS AND CHANGES IN MARKET TRENDS IN THE WOOD INDUSTRY”

XII MEETING OF THE BOARD OF THE ASSOCIATION OF FORESTRY, WOOD AND PAPER INDUSTRY, PRINTING AND PUBLISHING ACTIVITIES

At a roundtable on the theme “Standards and changes in market trends in the wood industry”, observations on these issues were presented by Rusten Nurković, graduate engineer of wood industry, Adem Fetić director of the Directorate of Forestry, Hunting and Wood Industry and Goran Popović, Chief Directorate for Forestry. They spoke of the Development Strategy for the wood industry, which was adopted in 201, and covers a fi ve-year period for the goals and changes that lead to European markets and the greater competitiveness of the industry, with special emphasis

on standards to be met in order as soon as possible to overcome obstacles to the European market. In addition, methods for reorganisation, both technical and organisational, as well as the training of personnel who would be in charge of a new concept, and who expect signifi cant changes, especially in the export-import

balance of the wood industry, which are currently negative. It was concluded that reforms should have an eff ect as far as the development of the timber industry, income and participation as well as the GDP of Montenegro. On the other hand, by raising the level of wood processing would lead to better eff ects including a most signifi cant increase of jobs and employment. The roundtable was held at the Adriatic Fair within 39th Fair furniture and 9th Art Fair organised by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Directorate of Forestry, Hunting and Timber Industry.

Summarizing the results of 2014, the forest management programme for 2015 and the programme supporting investment - a development fund dedicated to this business area - were the topics of sessions of the Association of Forestry, Wood and Paper Industry, Graphics and Publishing activities held in the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro .“Montenegro imports a very large value and number of products in this area. The payment for the importation of these products means an outfl ow of €120 million, of which half is furniture, and we export very little, mainly raw products”, said Vice-President of Chamber of Commerce Ljiljana

Filipović. It was concluded that it is necessary to thoroughly review the situation in the timber and paper industry over the previous multi-year period, in order to determine the basis for future activities. It was also concluded that it is necessary to invest considerable eff ort to increase the number of producers, but also to increase the value of products, not merely the sale of unprocessed products, but a higher level of processing through the use of modern technology. The session particularly praised the traditionally good co-operation with the Adriatic Fair, and from its perspective, the Chamber of Commerce has rated the 39th Furniture Fair as refreshing

with many modern trends in interior and exterior design and the right mix of aesthetics, nature and experience.

TO THE FAIR WITH SUCCESS No. 100• To what extent is the Fair and

exhibition event a suitable place to mark the twentieth anniversary of our company, which is a participant at the Fair?

• The 100th edition of EXPO Budva is an opportunity to remind ourselves of the possibility of using the Jubilee in promotional activities in and around the Fair. The celebration of the anniversary in the opinion of the PR guru, Dennis Wilcox, is one of the means of production news. Use this moment and during the Fair performance.

• What ways do you suggest to preserve our anniversary at this great business event?

• Visually, a year dominated by the performance jubilee, as well as your logo. Furthermore, show it through your written and electronic materials, which

will emphasise that as part of the anniversary, and have a Fair presentation. Do something for visitors: Assign the number of awards to how many years of work you celebrate. Finally, if you are in a fi nancial situation, organise an occasional cocktail party. Do not forget representatives of the Fair and the media who follow.

• Our company has no jubilee, but performance at the Fair event that captures not only an enviable tradition and continuity, but this year the celebration of the Jubilee. How can we be part of the jubilee?

• First, you should check if you belong to those exhibitors who are traditional and have over a long period contributed to the success of the Fair. If this is the case, emphasise togetherness

and business co-operation, both on your site, and on the stand. However, if you are a new exhibitor, and have a separate exhibit, announce that you are going to launch, display, and present at the Jubilee Fair. Do not forget to congratulate the organisers. Of course, an especially ambitious company with success and an agile marketing department, may stipulate that the company will make a special appearance at the Jubilee event, which is of importance for the economy of the country and the region.
