Dr. Marc d’Avoine has evaluated the situation in a first conversa- tion with the executives. The objective is to begin winding up running projects as quickly as possiblel. The necessary re- quirements for it are already re- gulated. To improve the current situation for the recapitalisation, Dr. d’Avoine has implemented measures in the meantime for the improvement of the efficien- cy and the further development of the technology. In addition, the sales department is actively approaching the market, so that Intensiv-Filter, in spite of the in- solvency procedure, profits from the order boom in the machine and plant manufacturing. Intensiv-Filter will be present as planned with an exhibition stand at Achema, the world’s biggest trade fair in the chemical pro- cess industry, from 18.06.2012 to 22.06.2012. „Thereby we show our customers and part- ners that the insolvency is a chance for Intensiv-Filter which is used for the continuity of the company. Various investors with whom we are under discussion are already at hand “, said insol- vency trustee Dr. Marc d `Avoi- ne. Filter bags for hygienic and ambitious de-dusting proces- ses Filter bags of the ProTex CIP ® (Cleaning in Place) series have been developed for the dust removal of hygienically deman- ding processes of the food in- dustry and pharmaceutical in- dustry. They are determined in particular for operation in the food sector, because here high safety and quality standards must be guaranteed. The new filter media generation ProTex CIP ® corresponds exactly to these requirements. The filter media of the ProTex CIP ® series fulfil the demands of the European order No. 10/2011 about materials and objects made of plastic which are inten- ded to come into contact with food. The filter bags are CIP- able, have inside lap seam and can be delivered in any lengths and diameters. Typical uses are found in bag filters after spray dryers for milk products, but also in the product processing of sugar, starch, coffee, cocoa, etc. Intensiv-Filter proves once more with the new filter medium generation its engagement for high quality, security and good manufacture. Beside the reali- sation of the hygienic aspects, ProTex CIP ® distinguishes its- elf in addition by low differential pressure and long life time. Sponsoring of the 5th sym- posium of Spray Dried Dairy Products From June 19th to June 21st, 2012 the 5th symposium of spray dried dairy products took place in Saint Malo, France. Be- cause of the subject, the event was for Intensiv-Filter a weighty reason to take part as a spon- sor. Every two to three years the symposium is organised by the IDF, the international dairy as- sociation, at always different places. In this year‘s event the INRA, the French national in- stitute of agricultural research, was also involved in it. The event aims to bring together research and industry leaders to share ideas and information about new developments in two complementary fields of science and technology – the manufac- ture of dairy powders and the functionality of these products as food ingredients. Hygienic demands for spray dryer processes have risen in the past more and more. Rea- sons for it are the desired better product qualities as well as ad- ditional demands for baby food and pharmaceutical products. Insolvency proceedings is chance for restart

Intensiv-Filter & Co KG submit-ted an application for insolvency on May 31st, 2012. The respon-sible district court of Wuppertal appointed Dr. Marc d’Avoine from Wuppertal as the tempora-ry insolvency trustee.

Dr. Marc d’Avoine has evaluated the situation in a first conversa-tion with the executives. The objective is to begin winding up running projects as quickly as possiblel. The necessary re-quirements for it are already re-gulated. To improve the current situation for the recapitalisation, Dr. d’Avoine has implemented measures in the meantime for the improvement of the efficien-cy and the further development of the technology. Intensiv-Filter was present at the ACHEMA 2012

The ACHEMA is the worldwide leading platform of the chemi-cal process industry. Intensiv-Filter was present with a stand and was available for extensi-ve discussions. Filter solutions and dust removal solutions were asked from the chemical industry and food industry. But also discussions about flue gas cleaning in coal plants were in the focus of the visitors. This is owing to the nuclear phaseout which makes the use of con-ventional energy, as for examp-le with coal, necessary. The use of coal-fired power stations is therefore an alternative.

Overall the fair appearance on the ACHEMA was a full suc-cess for Intensiv-Filter. Owing to the high order potential in the dust removal of industrial pro-cesses, the contacts won anew shall be found by soon in the established clientele. Thus In-tensiv-Filter plans to be present also at the next ACHEMA 2015.

Demonstration of de-dusting at the open day of HKMOn June 16th, 2012 was the opportunity to experience the iron and steel production of Duisburg HKM (Hüttenwer-ke Krupp Mannesmann) very closely. HKM operates on the site at the Rhine two blast fur-naces for the iron production, a coking plant and the ironworks. Dust results from these plants as with most production pro-cesses. HKM employs also bag filters from Intensiv-Filter for the de-dusting process. At last a double row filter was installed

for the enlargement of the se-condary dust removal.

HKM wanted to present for the part of environmental protection the used filter technology to the audience and asked Intensiv-Filter for support. „The way of the dust“ could be shown and explained clearly with a 3D-CAD computer simulation and a showcase.

3D visualization of a bag filter on YouTubeA 3D-visualisation is the perfect solution to represent details, processes, operations and re-actions within a filtering instal-lation. The complex processes of a dust removal process using a bag filter are communicated in 3D-visualisation easily and clearly understandably.

A bag filter of the series ProJet mega® is shown. The technolo-gy contained in it is explained in detail, e.g., the cleaning using the coanda injector, the partic-le flow in the raw gas duct and clean gas duct and the dust di-scharge.

Everything on dust removal with a bag filter revolves here:

Efficient dust removal tech-nology for great exhaust vo-lume flowExtract from the technical publication:CAV, May 2011The advance of bag filters and filtering separators is to be jus-tified with the trouble-free com-pliance of actual emission limit values in a single-step process - with the highest volume flows and dust loadings. Hence, bag filters and filtering separators won recognitions for the sepa-ration of particles from volume flow within numerous industrial processes.

Beside a high separating effici-ency, in particular with great exhaust volume flows, the filte-ring separators must be geared toward minimising the energy consumption. For it measures within construction, control sys-tem and filtration efficiency are carried out, which contribute to a lowering of the specific ener-gy demand of jet-pulse bag fil-ters. (...)

(...) The injector system has among other things the essen-tial relevance for an energy-efficient operating of a jet-pulse filter. (...)

(...) The regulation of the cleaning is carried out with a tailor-made microprocessor technology which is called Jet-Bus Controller®. The JetBus Controller® uses a field bus system especially fitted to the demands of Intensiv-Filter. The modular construction of the system allows an adaptab-le design of the control system which can be altered or exten-ded also at a later point of time.
