Function Types

Pub crawls are NOT accepted functions.

18th & 21st birthdays are permitted after consultation; parents must be present at both the

consultation & the event.

Hen & Bucks are also permitted under the understanding that we take RSA very seriously & any

patron deemed to be showing signs of intoxication will be asked to leave the venue.

Dress Code

Please observe a smart casual dress code after 6pm e.g. no thongs, singlets permitted

AV & Entertainment

Microphones & other external AV are only permitted with the express permission of the

Functions Co-ordinator.

Should there be a television in your function space, this may be used for visual personal use i.e.

photo slideshows, but remember rooms are not exclusive.

Decorations

Please note that confetti or table scatters of any kind are not permitted.

Free street parking is available on Royal Street Mon—Sat from 6pm & all day Sunday.

City of Perth Parking complex 81-95 Regal Place, East Perth

Free yellow CAT bus from CBD stop number 32: Haig Park Circle.

We do not accept tentative bookings. Reservations will only be confirmed upon receiving a

complete confirmation form.

Alfresco

Please note due to our venue licence, the alfresco area must be closed & cleared of patrons 1 hour

prior to the closing of the entire venue.

PLEASE ALSO NOTE GUESTS MUST BE SEATED WHILST CONSUMING ALCOHOL ON

THE TERRACE DUE TO AL FRESCO LICENSING.

BYO policy

No external food or beverage of any kind will be permitted into the venue.

Birthday / celebration cakes are excepted & may be brought in for the occasion.

Food

All functions are required to cater for 75% of their confirmed guests.

All food & canapé orders must be confirmed 7 days prior to the date of the function. Please note while orders can

be increased, they cannot be decreased after this time. Please communicate any dietary requirements of your

guests at the time of booking.

Beverages

All beverages are charged on a consumption basis. The Royal on the Waterfront does not offer drinks packages or

discounted beverage for functions.

Responsible Service of Alcohol

The Royal on the Waterfront complies with Western Australian Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Legislation,

with Approved Managers on the premises at all times. All staff & management are trained in the Liquor Licensing

Accredited ‘RSA’ & may refuse to serve alcohol to any person who they believe to be showing signs of intoxication

or engaging in disorderly conduct. Any patron deemed to be showing signs of intoxication will be asked to leave

the venue immediately.

In accordance with liquor licensing laws, minors are only permitted on the premises in the direct company of their

parent or legal guardian & may be asked to leave at the discretion of management. At no time is a minor permitted

to consume alcohol on the premises.

Children are under the direct responsibility of their parent or legal guardian & constant parental supervision is

required at all times.

Damages and Cleaning

Organisers are financially responsible for any damage to the property, building, furniture, fixtures & fittings

during & immediately following the function. This includes any costs for repair or replacement; the organisers of

the function are also responsible for damage caused by their guests, outside contractors or agents prior to, during

and after the event

Payment

Payment must be finalised by cash or credit card on the day at the conclusion of the event.

If payment is not made on the night of your function, the credit card given when booking will be charged the total

amount due.

Minimum Spends

All functions at The Royal on the Waterfront require a minimum spend. This minimum spend can be made up of

any food & drink, packages or a la carte options.

If this minimum spend is not reached, the remainder will be charged to the card details provided on the

confirmation form.

Please note that peak periods have an increased minimum spend.

Cancellation

If The Royal on the Waterfront has justified reasons that any function may affect the smooth running of the venue,

security or reputation, the management reserve the right to cancel the function with no liability. Clients will receive

notice of this cancellation immediately.

The Royal on the Waterfront takes Responsible Service of Alcohol very seriously and will immediately terminate any

function where any patrons are deemed to be intoxicated or underage.

Change in Final Numbers

Please note that confirmed numbers are final & organisers will be charged for their confirmed final number of

guests.

Please be aware whilst numbers can go up, with enough notice, or down on the day of the event, patrons will still be

charged for the confirmed final number figure.

Please note with set menu packages, no shows will be charged at 50% of the total set menu price.
