DAILY NUGGETS FOR JOYFUL LIVING
Friday, February 20, 2015
Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.Philippians 1:24 KJV
INFLUENCE OF A CHRISTIAN
Every Christian is supposed to daily carry along a sphere of influence. I remember the Lord telling me at th
beginning of the Year 2015, Son, when people come to you for prayer, counseling, or advice, give your allto them
because they have willingly submitted their lives to you. At that point of submission, they are vulnerable to you
Now, when people come to me, I don t place any focus on me, I place my focus on them; and that is why they ar
drawn towards me. Secondly, I also empty my thoughts on issues, opinions about issues, needs that I know God w
meet, honest daily desires, and philosophies of living well to them to see that I am on their side of life. I let the
know that it is God that can meet these needs. I encourage them to know that God will meet these needs. I assur
them that God truly wants to meet these needs. I finally challenge them to upload these needs to God. I conclude
by tabling their issues of needs before God in prayer. While praying with them, I appeal to the Father in the Nam
of Jesus through Matthew 21:22, And all things, whatsoeverye shall ask in prayer, BELIEVING, ye shall receive
And beloved, God is ever faithful, because He always answers this type of prayer speedily. This type of atmospher
will consummate the sphere of influence upon them. Influence does not come by manipulation. It does not come b
intimidation. It is earned. And for any individual wanting to influence another, be sure that your influence ride
upon self-sacrifices made for the good of others. If your intention is always for the good of others, those others
will naturally galvanize towards you in their time of needs. They will always want to empty themselves to yo
because they feel safe and protected in your presence. Apply honesty to your endeavors in human ministering, an
you are a person of influence to humanity. Yes, consider influence as everything you ever needed to give out in life
Paul said in Philippians 1:24, Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.Paul was a man oinfluence. He saw people as people and was ready for anything in order to help them. That is the Christian
influence. He shifted his focus from himself to the people he welded his sphere of influence on. Paul saw influenc
as an interpersonal transaction designed to move any individual to a different thought or action than the
otherwise would have taken without his influence. If people know that you have sacrificed a lot to take sides wit
them, they will automatically buy in to your influence. Every minister of the Gospel is supposed to be an epitome o
influence; for how can you ever stand to minister without a sphere of influence on your congregation. Jesu
influenced people in His days of earthly ministry, and without a doubt, they all said, This is of a truth that prophe
that should come into the world.Paul boldly declared in Philippians 4:9, Those things, which ye have both learned
and received, and heard, and seen in me, do...The widow of Zarephath did not miss Elijahs influence on her whe
she declared in 1 Kings 17:24, after Elijah brought her son back to life from death, ...Now by this I know that tho
art a man of God, and that the word of the LORD in thy mouth is truth. In other words, she was saying, Elijayou have influenced me greatly; for I have seen and benefitted from the presence of God you carry with you
Beloved, if you develop a sphere of influence and walk in it, you create for yourself Joyful Living experience. Amen
