Two distinct product lines, Infinity and Infinity Tak, have been designed with dedicated surface fini-shes for intuitive, fast installation and clean appli-cation works.Both product lines have a smooth version with TEX top finish as well as a self-protected version with micro mineral finish for total UV exclusion. Infinity 3.2 mm has an overlap line on the upper face for quick joint alignment.Infinity Tak is characterized by its special self-se-aling and highly elastic self-adhesive compound, which ensures perfect bond.It is lined with a removable siliconized release film, split along the centre line for swift and easy align-ment and bonding of the rolls.

1. Rol de Infinity-rollen uit en lijn ze uit op de ontvangende ondergrond, parallel aan de gootlijn of de borstweringsmuur. Begin de installatie op het laagste punt van het deel dat waterdicht gemaakt moet worden en werk dan naar boven zodat de delen die overlappen niet tegen de waterstroom ingaan.

Unroll and align the rolls of Infinity onto the receiving sub-strate parallel to the gutter line or the parapet wall. It is re-commended to start the installation works from the lowestpoint of the area to be waterproofed and to move upwards,so that overlaps will not contrast the flow of water.

2. Zorg in de lengte voor een overlap en bevestig de membranen mechanisch langs de naadlijnen. Alle overlappingen moeten minimaal 12 cm breed zijn: volg de geprinte aansluitlijn (Tex-versies) of de naadlijnen (Mineral-versies). Plaats mechanische bevestigingsmiddelen op tussenruimtes van 25 cm en bewaar een minimale afstand van 3,5 cm van de buitenrand van het membraan, zoals aangegeven op de tekening. De ontwerper, architect en monteur zijn verantwoordelijk voor de juiste dichtheid van de mechanische bevestigingen die bepaald moeten worden op basis van het plaatselijk risico op opblazen door de wind en andere omgevingsomstandigheden.

Infinity-membranen kunnen ook zonder mechanische bevestigingen langs de naadlijnen worden aangebracht en afgesloten worden aan de zijdes en hoofdeindes met gewicht of andere zware beschermingen. Bevestig de Infinity-membranen, ongeacht de installatiemethode, altijd mechanisch langs de buitenranden, hoeken, veranderingen in hellingsgraad en onderdelen.

Overlap longitudinally and mechanically fix the membra-nes along the selvedge lines. All side laps should be at least 12 cm wide: follow theprinted joint line (Tex versions) or the selvedge lines (Mi-neral versions). Install a mechanical fastener at 25 cm intervals keeping aminimum of 3.5 cm from the outer edge of the membra-ne, as shown in the drawing. The correct density of mechanical fixations is the respon-sibility of the Designer, Architect, Engineer, to be deter-mined based on local wind uplift area classification andother ambient conditions. Regardless of the installation method, Infinity membra-nes should always be mechanical fixed along perimeters,corners, gradient changes and details.

Joints should be welded over their entire width using an adequa-te hot air device and a joint- roller, taking care to form a seamlessfilet of compound about 5 mm wide along the entire joint line. Side joints shall be min 12 cm wide.

4. De hoofdaansluitingen moeten minstens 15 cm breed zijn, meteen heteluchtapparaat worden gelast en met een joint-rollerstevig worden aangedrukt voor een perfecte hechting tussende lagen. Zorg daarbij voor het volgende:

a) bij aansluitingen over een TEX-afwerking: schroei het TEX-vlies weg voordat de hoofdaansluiting wordt gelast;

b) voor aansluitingen over een MINERAL-afwerking: verwarmhet aansluitingsvlak eerst en wrijf of druk de microlat stevigaan met een troffel met een rond uiteinde.

Dezelfde procedures gelden ook voor reparatiewerkzaamheden met Infinity-membranen, op alle contactpunten met een TEX- of MINERAL-afwerking.

Head joints shall be least 15 cm wide and must be heat-welded with a hot air device and firmly pressed with a joint-roller to en-sure a perfect bond between layers, having care to: a) for joints over TEX finish: scorch away the TEX fleece prior to

welding the head joint; b) for joints over MINERAL finish: pre-heat the joint-area, scra-

pe or embed the micro-slate using a round-tipped trowel. Same procedures apply also to repair works with Infinity mem-branes, at all points of contact with either TEX or MINERAL finish.

a) bij aansluitingen over een TEX-afwerking: schroei het TEX-vlies weg voordat de hoofdaansluiting wordt gelast;

b) voor aansluitingen over een MINERAL-afwerking:verwarm het aansluitingsvlak eerst en wrijf of druk demicrolat stevig aan met een troffel met een ronduiteinde.

Dezelfde procedures gelden ook voor reparatiewerkzaamheden met Infinity-membranen, op alle contactpunten met een TEX- of MINERAL-afwerking. Head joints should be minimum 15 cm. For a perfect seal of all head joints use Coperglue Joint sealant; alternatively heat-weld with a hot air device and firmly press with a joint-roller to ensure a perfect bond between layers, having care to: a) for joints over TEX finish: scorch away the TEX fleece

prior to welding the head joint; b) for joints over MINERAL finish: pre-heat the joint-area,

scrape or embed the micro-slate using a round-tipped trowel.

AANBEVELINGEN RECOMMENDATIONS

• De ondergrond moet stevig, droog*, schoon en glad zijn, vrij van lossedeeltjes, stof en olie (vet, olie gebruikt voor zonwering etc.).

• Afhankelijk van de ondergrond, kan Primer TAK (200-300g/m²) gebruiktworden voor een maximale hechting van de Infinity Tak-membranen:• Betonnen/metalen ondergrond: AANBEVOLEN• Houten/OSB-ondergrond: GEADVISEERD• EPS/XPS/PIR-ondergrond: NIET AANBEVOLEN

• *NB: indien correct aangebracht, bieden de SLIM Technology-membranen een uitermate effectieve afdichting tegen water en waterdamp.

• Bij toepassingen waar het niet zeker is of de ondergrond absoluut droog is,is het belangrijk voorzieningen te treffen voor de ontsnapping van mogelijk ingesloten vocht in de dakondergrond. Plaats hiervoor ontluchtingskapjes op effectieve afstanden en voorkom dat het dak uitzet door vocht dat zich intern verplaatst.

• The receiving substrates must be firm, dry*, clean, smooth and free ofdebris, dust, oils (grease, shutter release oils etc.).

• Subject to the substrate surface, Primer TAK (200-300g/m²) can be usedto improve adhesion of Infinity Tak membranes to the maximum:• Concrete/metal substrate: RECOMMENDED• Timber/OSB substrate: ADVISED• EPS/XPS/PIR substrate: NOT RECOMMENDED

• *NB: When correctly installed, the SLIM Technology membranes will provide a highly effective seal to water and water vapor.

• In applications where there can be no certainty for a totally dry substrate, it isimportant to make provisions to allow for the evacuation of any trapped moi-sture in the roof substrate, by installing venting caps at adequate intervals and avoid unwelcome roof swelling caused by migrating internal moisture.

• Gebruik Infinity Tak en Infinity Tak Mineral niet als enkelvoudige, waterafdichtende laag op een ondergrond van onvoldoende gedroogd hout of hout met hars of op houtwerk dat geïmpregneerd is met rot-werende chemicaliën, boven luifels met gebogen randen, houten dekken of pergola's die zich direct boven ruimtes bevinden die bewoond worden of gemeubileerd zijn. Breng in al deze gevallen eerst Coperfix Universal aan over de gehele houten ondergrond. Dit vormt een scheidingslaag die mechanisch vastgezet moet worden met spijkers met grote koppen. Breng daarna pas de Infinity Tak of Infinity Tak Mineral aan.

• Infinity Tak or Infinity Tak Mineral shall not be installed as exposed sin-gle waterproofing layers on substrates of unseasoned or resinous woodor on timber impregnated with rot-proof chemicals, or over beaded ca-nopies, wooden decks or pergolas located directly above inhabited and/or furnished spaces. For all such cases it is recommended to install firstover the entire timber substrate Coperfix Universal, a separation layer tobe mechanically fixed with large headed nails. Infinity Tak or Infinity TakMineral shall be installed thereafter.

• Infinity membranes shall not be installed at ambient temperatures below10°C and/or in presence of persistent fog, dew, frost etc.

• Minimum recommended temperatures for application:• • Infinity and Infinity Mineral: +5°C.• • Infinity Tak and Infinity Tak Mineral: +10°C. In case of unfavourable

ambient conditions (high relative humidity or ambient temperatures between +10°C and +20°C) all joints should be heat-welded using a hot air device and a joint-roller.

• Bescherm de Infinity Tak- en Infinity Tak Mineral-rollen tegen directe blootstelling aan de zon tot het moment van installatie. Vermijd langdurige opslag in de open lucht bij temperaturen boven 28°C.

• Keep the rolls of Infinity Tak and Infinity Tak Mineral protected from di-rect sun exposure until the time of application. Avoid storing outdoors forprolonged periods at temperatures above 28°C.

• De rollen moeten worden opgeslagen in beschutte en geventileerde ruimtes, beschermd tegen vorst, warmtebronnen en zonnestralen. Sla de rollen rechtop op. Stapel pallets niet op elkaar zonder een stevige scheidingswand.

• initiatieven toepassen om de plaatselijke gemeenschap en autoriteiten te informeren over ente betrekken bij het milieubeleid van het bedrijf, en een transparante en constructieveinteractie bewerkstelligen binnen de sociale context waar Copernit opereert.

Eco-sustainability and low environmental impact for a production based on respect for man and the environment; for Copernit these are objectives to be achieved through a daily commitment and a series of targeted actions:

• making use of recycled or regenerated raw materials as well as of virgin raw materials sourcedonly from suppliers that operate in compliance with environmental rules and regulations;
