It is strongly recommended not to use this option. 2. After successful login, a pop-up window will appear showing information about the consumed volume in MBs, time of inactivity etc. This pop-up window can be blocked if your browser has enabled a pop-up blocker. It is recommended to disable it. In case the pop-up window doesn’t appear you can type in the address of your web browser the url http://infinity:3990. 3. When you start browsing, it is strongly recommended to click on the “Light Surfing” button that can be found on the pop-up window in order to minimize the volume of data consumed. Alternatively you can access http://www.google.com/xhtml before any other website. 4. If you want instead to use “Normal Surfing” option (the original form of the websites) a powerful proxy compresses the images (by reducing the quality of them) and removes the advertisements and other data from pages. That way INFINITY still reduces the consumed bandwidth. 5. If you have enabled the Windows update or any application that searches the Internet for any new version, make sure that the download file size is as expected. A large update can easily be more than 50MB and can consume your entire card shortly. It is strongly recommended to disable Windows automatic update and any other automatic update such as Adobe Acrobat Reader. For Windows XP you can go to Start Control Panel Automatic Updates and click over the bullet “Turn off Automatic Updates.” For Windows Vista/7 go to Start Control Panel Windows Update from the left list of actions select Change settings Important updates and choose “Never check for updates (not recommended)”. 6. For security reasons the system will automatically log you out if you don’t use the browser for 5 minutes. After a system logout you can login again as usual with you username and password. 7. Log out any time by clicking over the Logout in INFINITY status window. You can log out by closing the status window but this action is not supported by all browsers. 8. Although the usage of INFINITY doesn’t require any specific browser, the usage of Microsoft Internet Explorer, Opera, Mozilla Firefox, Safari and Google Chrome (excluding google.com/xhtml function for Mozilla Firefox, Safari and Google Chrome) is recommended.
