A Cerficate will be issued to those who have completed ALL and successfully passed all the course assessments. • Language : The medium of instrucon will be English, supplemented with Chinese. Assessment An examinaon will be scheduled at the end of each module and students are required to pass ALL exams in order to qualify for receipt of the course cerficate. It is strongly recommended that all three modules be completed, however, in the event that only one or two modules can be aempted, a cerficate will be provided at the compleon of each module. About the course Recognizing the increasing importance of a good foundaon knowledge of infecous diseases in order to cope with the ever-changing landscape of infecon control, we have revised and expanded our programme to provide three modules that include (but are not limited to) the following topics: emerging and re-emerging diseases, outbreaks of infecous disease, tropical diseases and the global crisis of anmicrobial resistance. Module 1 aims to facilitate the understanding of the aeology, transmission mechanisms and pathogenesis of common infecous agents in healthcare sengs and the community. Module 2 will enhance students’ awareness of infecon control concepts and current guidelines on infecon prevenon and control. Module 3 will address advances in infecous disease prevenon and will include topics such as: handling weapons of mass destrucon; simulaon training for infecous-disease nursing; mathemacal modelling for infecon control; and research in infecon control and infecous disease prevenon.
