Nondestructive Testing (NDT) is comprised of several non-invasive methods for testing parts, materials or assemblies. This process is typically used to identify and measure imperfections in the tested units before putting them into public use. As the name would suggest, non destructive testing can be performed during or after manufacture – even on equipment that is still in service. Meaning the parts being inspected are not damaged and can still be used when all is said and done. Techmetals currently is certified in Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), allowing our customers to verify their equipment or parts with techniques that do not damage them. Our technicians offer fluorescent and visible magnetic particle inspection — the most efficient and affordable methods available. We have three separate NDT benches, with the largest able to accommodate parts up to 144” (or 12 feet) in length. NDT is integral for industries such as Aerospace, Aviation, Defense and Automotive, especially where human lives are often impacted.
