Summary of QualificationsI am a graduate of Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics and statistics. I have been employed within the State of Mississippi as a school teacher for thirteen years. I have been acknowledged many times as a good leader and a mentor to my fellow employees and teachers. I intend to accomplish that level of teamwork in the working world as well. Working well with others has always been a trait of mine. Community involvement has played a prominent role in my time as a teacher, librarian, and webmaster. I am currently studying to attain an A+ certification. I am set to complete this and begin training for Network+ by the end of summer.

ExperienceArmstrong Middle School, Starkville, MS:8th Grade Math Teacher (July 31, 2013 Present)�I currently am the 8th /9th grade Robotics and Intro to Engineering and Design teacher at Armstrong Middle School. I work diligently to help my students prepare for their transition to high school with great success. I have taught Algebra as well for quite some time, with a great legacy of students that have gone on to be successful engineers and college students. I strive to instill that desire for college in all of my students. My passion has been in computers and various networking technologies for many years now and I want to achieve as great a success within that realm.

Leake County High School, Walnut Grove, MS:Full-Time Librarian/Advanced Algebra-Trigonometry Teacher/District Webmaster/After School Math Tutor(July 31, 2010 July 30, 2013)�I was full-time librarian at the high school and middle school. I am also the website coordinator for the entire district. I oversee six different websites. I assist teachers and faculty in editing, creating, and streamlining their individual websites. I teach twelfth grade trigonometry and advanced algebra. In 2010, I taught ninth through twelfth grade math including algebra I, transition to algebra, advanced algebra, and trigonometry. I have been working with the after school tutorial program along with the special education teachers. I started a math club in 2010 as well as a library club last year, which has seen tremendous success. For the past two years, I have assisted the director and students involved in Future Business Leaders of America. They are studying for their assigned business, math, and computer related tests. I have volunteered to assist at-risk seniors that have failed their algebra I SATP test. All of the seniors that I have helped have passed their tests handily and can now graduate or have graduated.

Leake Central High School, Carthage, MS:Full-Time Math Teacher(August 1, 2007 July 31, 2010)�I taught ninth grade math, including Transition to Algebra and Compensatory Math at Leake Central High School. During my time at this school, I trained teachers and faculty to incorporate technology into their classrooms. I developed great professional relationship with the teachers there. I taught there for three years and enjoyed it. I had to move to an open position within the same school district

but in a different location due to budget cuts in government funding. The Title I teaching fund was significantly reduced and the district could not afford to keep me in the Compensatory Math/Transition to Algebra position. I was given a great deal of support in moving to the sister school in the area that had an open math position. The principal highly recommended that Leake County employ me. I still assist teachers there with their website design.

Sonic Drive-In, Carthage MS: Assistant Manager (June 1992 August 1, 2010) �I worked at Sonic Drive-In for over eighteen years. The last six years were as part-time assistant manager. This was a well-run family business that encouraged hard work and dedication in its employees. My father has retired and sold the business.
