Competitive spirit has become the hallmark of the dynamic corporate

environment wherein companies need to make progress. This

pressure of development percolates fast down the hierarchy. Any

extent of professionalism falls short, when it comes to corporate reality.

As professionals, they need to accomplish success with available

opportunities, the growing corporate world and the ever changing

technology. We at IIBS accept all these challenges to satisfy the

aspirations of Prospective Management Professionals, creating

an environment for transformation.

Industry in Transition:

Realizing the Digital Enterprise Report by : Prof. Dr. A. Prakash, Corporate Interface Team, attended ARC

Advisory Group’s 15th India Forum - July 7, 2017 - Bangalore, India

Industrial companies are revisiting their own

business processes and technology approaches as

competitors and partners start to employ 'digitalized'

business processes and exploit the increasing

convergence between operational technology (OT)

and information technology (IT) on the

manufacturing shop floor. Technology solution providers are moving from

Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) concepts to real

IIoT products, solutions, and services. Companies are creating and implementing open

source alternatives to traditional technology

solutions. Governments worldwide are supporting

manufacturing growth initiatives. Emerging business

models allow manufacturers to rethink, or even out

source. Intelligent connected products, along with

network communications, software, and analytics

now enable manufacturers to improve uptime and

4

optimize operating performance. ARC’s Fifteenth India Forum “Industry in Transition:

Blockchain Blockchain is a technological advance in the field of

finance that will have great implications, which will

not just transform the financial services but many

other businesses and industries. A blockchain is a distributed database, meaning that

the storage devices for the database are not all

connected to a common entity. It maintains a growing

list of ordered records, called blocks. Each block has a

timestamp and a link to a previous block. Blockchains are secure databases by design. The

concept was introduced in 2008 by Satoshi

Nakamoto, and then implemented for the first time

in 2009 as part of the digital bitcoin currency; the

blockchain serves as the public ledger for all bitcoin

transactions. By using a blockchain system, bitcoin

was the first digital currency to solve the double

spending problem (unlike physical coins or tokens,

electronic files can be duplicated and spent twice)

without the use of an authoritative body or central

server. The security is built into a blockchain system

through the distributed time stamping server and

peer-to-peer network, and the result is a database

that is managed autonomously in a decentralized

way. This makes blockchains excellent for recording

events — like medical records — transactions,

identity management, and proving provenance. It is,

essentially, offering the potential of mass

disintermediation of trade and transaction

processing.

Cryptography ensures that users can

only edit the parts of the blockchain that they “own” by possessing the private keys

necessary to write to the file. It also ensures that

everyone’s copy of the distributed blockchain is kept

in synch. Blockchain technology offers the intriguing possibility

of eliminating this “middle man”. It does this by filling

three important roles – recording transactions,

establishing identity and establishing contracts –

traditionally carried out by the financial services sector.

This has huge implications because, worldwide, the

financial services market is the largest sector of

industry by market capitalization. Replacing even a

fraction of this with a blockchain system would result in

a huge disruption of the financial services industry, but

also a massive increase in efficiencies. The blockchain/trust economy trend represents a

remarkable power shift from large, centralized trust

agents to the individual. And while its broader

implications may not be fully understood for years to

come, it is hardly a death knell for banks, credit

agencies, and other transactional intermediaries. It

may mean, however, that with blockchain as the

gatekeeper of identity and trust, business and

government will have to create new ways to engage

the individual—and to add value and utility in the

rapidly evolving trust economy. In the greater context of the trust economy,

blockchain is not a cure-all for the challenges of

7

establishing and maintaining trust. As a technology, it

is still maturing; standards and best practices do not

yet exist. The very features that protect blockchain

against theft and fraud could also drive overhead if not

correctly implemented—a potential obstacle on the

path toward individual deployment of the technology.

Finally, legal recognition of contracts and digitally

transferred assets is currently limited. The good news

is that organizations can take steps now to mitigate if

not fully address these challenges. Some pundits are likening the emergence of

blockchain technology to the early days of the World

Wide Web, and for good reason. In 1991, the

foundations for distributed, open communication were

being laid—network infrastructure, protocols, and a

variety of enabling technologies from javascript to

search engines to browsers. There were also new

enterprise software suites that made it possible to

take advantage of digital marketing, commerce, and

linked supply networks, among countless other

opportunities. Hyper-investment chased perceived

opportunity, even as specific scenarios describing

how the technology would change the world had not

yet been defined. Blockchain may lead to even greater disruption by

becoming the new protocol for digital assets,

exchanges, contracts, and, perhaps most

importantly, identity and trust. With efforts to create

a new stack for all facets of blockchain attracting

investment, the time is now for enterprises to

explore the underlying technology, and to envision

how blockchain may be used for more than just the

easy use cases of cost savings and efficiency within

their own boundaries. Content Page

How Does Teamwork Works?

Organization is system of individuals working for

common goal. In any organization teamwork plays

an important role in achieving a goal. Team may be of same culture, language, and other

aspects. But the team with different culture and

language work better in achieving a goal. Let us understand the importance of teamwork by

the following instance. “In one organization the MD of a company called all

the employees of marketing department and informed

them to form a group for next quarter of sales process.

A five people with same language and culture formed

one group and the other five people

from different culture formed another group. The MD

then called up for a meeting and informed the groups

about their targets for that particular quarter. Also

informed about the benefits and incentives they get out

of it. He also informed to make their own strategies.

The first group with same language and culture can

work in their own region and it will earn less revenue.

But the other group distributed their target to each one

of team and everyone worked in their own region and

collectively expanded their business to five different

regions and earned more revenue.” From the above instance it is clear that team work is

important and a team with variety will make a

miracle. Also make the team to understand different

culture and to understand the different people. Content page

GST Impact on Indian Economy

The lower Goods and Services Tax (GST) rates

may lead to a decline in inflation, economic growth

may not improve significantly in the short term even

though it will benefit both India Inc and the

government in the medium term, experts say. Most

economists forecast inflation to come down as GST

rates for most goods have been fixed at a lower rate India Inc will have to reorganize their businesses as

the country switches to the GST regime, which will

bring in more small companies into the tax net. “It’s not optimal, but let the best not be the enemy

of the good. Even with its imperfections, it could

usher in significant benefits, especially through a

quantum leap in transaction trails and logistical

efficiencies,” DK Joshi, Chief Economist of Crisil

Limited, wrote in a report. But most say the Reserve Bank of India is unlikely

to cut policy interest rates at the next policy review

on June 6-7, as it will assess the monsoon situation

as well as the way the new tax regime pans out,

says Sunil Sinha, Chief Economist of India Ratings. HERE ARE FIVE IMPACTS GST WILL HAVE IN

THE NEAR TERM: 1. Shaking up corporate operations

? The new tax regime will force many

companies to restructure their operations

? Companies will now insist vendors and

suppliers to furnish invoices as GST will make it

Impossible for firms to evade taxes.

? Big companies stand to benefit as they have

a supply chain in order and can offset taxes

paid on inputs.

? Smaller firms may end up spending more as

compliance cost will rise.

? “While the impact on companies varies

following existence of production units in the

excise exempted zones, implementation of

GST should result in cost savings in the

supply chain network and expedite a shift

from unorganized to organized trade,” foreign

brokerage firm Jefferies said in a note. 2. Passing on the benefit of lower tax While the GST Council, headed by finance minister

Arun Jaitley, will keep a close vigil on whether

companies are passing on the benefit of lower taxes

to consumers, experts expressed doubt on the

implementation of anti-profiteering norm. “We believe that while corporate would pass on the

direct benefits of GST (like a lower tax rate), they

would aim to retain partly (if not fully) the indirect

benefits from the saving in logistics costs, streamlining

of business processes and the seamless flow of input

credits,” Nomura said in a report. While GST laws include anti-profiteering

measures—the benefits of the reduction in the tax

rate and input credit shall be passed on by a

10

commensurate reduction in prices— such measures

are difficult to implement and would be a retrograde

step, similar to price controls, if implemented in

haste, Nomura added. Companies may use the savings from tax outgo

under the GST regime to improve profit margin to

some extent and invest the rest in building new

capacities. 3. Inflation may remain low Analysts have no doubt that inflation will remain low

as GST rates on essential goods such as food

grain, household consumer items and essential

services have been either exempt or kept lower. However, assuming that GST does have the

intended effect of increasing tax compliance, the tax

burden would increase, Morgan Stanley said in a

note. This could lead companies to pass the costs

of higher tax compliance on to the consumer at a

later stage, it said. Most of the services are not accounted in the

consumer price CPI inflation basket and hence the

higher GST rates may not get reflected on the retail

price movement as measured by the government

data. “Services sector component in CPI is around 20%,

whereas they account for almost 50% of the total

consumption basket in the economy,” says Soumya

Kanti Ghosh, Chief Economic adviser at State Bank

of India. There are services like health, education,

miscellaneous segment, transportation are outside

the ambit of GST. “Hence, GST implementation on

CPI impact will be minimal. We estimate that GST

will have neutral impact on headline CPI,” he said

forecasting the average inflation at 4-4.5% during

2017-18. 4. RBI may not cut rates in June While inflation is expected to ease further with GST

rollout from a record low of 3% inApril, analysts

expect RBI may not immediately lower policy

interest rates. “RBI will watch out for the monsoon progress as also

how the GST pans out,” saidSinha of India Ratings. In the last policy review, RBI had flagged concerns

that the “one-off” impact GST may be inflationary.

The central left policy rates unchanged in April. SBI’s Ghosh says the RBI will most probably pause

on June policy review. 5. Economic growth may not jump immediately

Economists are not sure of the immediate impact of

GST and some even say it may impeded growth in

the short term as big companies reorganize their

businesses and as small firms lose revenue. “The GST implementation will be disruptive as there

will be a major change in the supply chain,” India

Ratings’ Sinha said but added the tax reform will be

beneficial to the economy in the medium to long term. Most analysts forecast the economy to grow close

to 7.4% in 2017-18, the first year of GST rollout,

which is slightly higher than 7.1% in 2016-17, but

lower than 7.9% of 2015- 16. While GST is unlikely to be a “positive” for economic

11

growth in the short term, Crisil’s Joshi said the

reform will improve the ease of doing business,

bolster investor sentiment and lure more foreign

investment in coming years.

IMPACT ANALYSIS OF GST ON

SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISE Small and Medium Enterprise have been considered

as the primary growth drive of the Indian economy for

decades. It is further evident from the fact that today

we have around 3 million SMEs in India contributing

almost 50% of the industrial output and 42% of India’s

total export. For a developing country like India and its

demographic diversity, SMEs have emerged as the

leading employment –generating sector and has

provided balanced development across sector. Let’s

examine what would be the impact of GST on Small

and Medium enterprise. After the passage of goods and services tax (GST)

Bill, the Industry is hailing the government for

bringing up this reform which have been long

pending because of political deadlocks. But before

we analyze the impact of GST on Small and

Medium Enterprise, we should understand how

GST is going to widen the taxpayer base. Earlier,

any manufacturer with a turnover of Rs.1.5 crore or

less was not required to comply to the rules of

excise duty. However, with the merging of all state

and central level taxes into the admit of GST, any

manufacturer with a turnover of Rs.20lakh(other)/10

lakh (Special category States) or more will have to

comply with GST and its procedures. All the compliance procedures under GST-

Registration,Payments, Refunds and Returns will

now be carried out through online portals only and

thus SMEs need not worry about interacting with

department officers for carrying out these

compliances, which are considered as a headache

in the current tax regime.

12

Below we have provided a high level impact analysis of

GST on small and medium businesses in India.

Compliance procedure Positives Negatives

Registration Online registration will ensure Not all the SMEs have timely receipt of certificate of technical expertise to deal registration and minimal with online system, thus most bureaucracy interface of them will need intermediaries to obtain for them. This will add to their

registration cost.

Payment Electronic compliance will Since funds are required to be bring transparency and will maintained in the form of also reduce the compliance electronic credit ledger with cost. the tax department, it may

result in liquidity crunch.

Refund Electronic refund procedures Refunds can be claimed only will fast track the process and after filling of relevant returns. enhance liquidity for SMEs Also it is depends on the

supplier and his rating.

Return All returns are required to be Minimum of thirty –seven filed electronically. returns are required to be filed by every registered taxpayer

during a financial year Content Page

Effective Ways to Improve

Business with Market Research

Lawanya R P P

PGDM

Successful organizations use market research

make better business decisions and maintain their

company’s competitive edge. Regardless of

whether it is a startup or expansion of business,

research is vital to understanding the target

markets and increasing sales. Some of the key areas where market research can

help improve business are discussed below.

1. Improve branding Companies can use market research to improve

their branding by exploring such subject as:

? Brand awareness—Are customers aware

and familiar with company’s brand?

? Competitive comparisons — how do

customers view the company compared to

the competition?

? Personification—what characteristics and

traits do customers associate with the

company’s brand? Companies can also survey customers to gather

feedback on marketing content suchas logos,

brochures, websites, etc. Brand research is typically

conducted by interviewing customers or organizing

focus groups. In this way, companies can explore

different topics in-depth and get feedback from the

participants. The results will help them develop brand

positioning and improve their marketing assets.

2. Understand customers better Organizations need better information on the size of

their market, their target customers and best ways

to reach them. For ex, if the company developed a

new kitchen product and wanted insights on the

target market. Here are some of things to find out

about typical customers for this new product.

How old are they?

Are they male or female?

What is their marital status?

Do they have children?

Where do they live?

What is their level of education?

What kind of social media do they use? This type of consumer study helps us to understand

the profile of the target audience so that companies

can develop focused brand positioning. By focusing

efforts on the right target market, companies can see

faster results, improved efficiency and greater overall

performance from their marketing campaigns. 3. Measure the effectiveness of marketing Organizations want to do a better job promoting their

companies and generating sales. Market research can

help by providing information on the effectiveness of

marketing efforts. Company can design studies to

gather feedback from customers on the look and feel

of their marketing messages. They

14

can also measure customer awareness and reaction

to specific marketing campaigns and activities. Gathering this type of data can really help maximize

marketing budget by helping design marketing that

reaches and resonates with the audience. 4. Identify new opportunities Market research can help organizations identify

new market opportunities that might be available to

the company. It can help identify geographic

regions for expansion and/or test the market’s

readiness for new products or services. For example, organizations could be looking to

open a new retail store and need to find the right

location. Or may be planning to change the

distribution channel and need to determine how the

decision will affect the customer base. To answer these questions, companies could

analyze existing data from government

publications, and/or industry specific reports. These

sources provide insights in such areas as:

Market size

Demographics Market share statistics

Industry dynamics

Major industry suppliers Key competitors

General industry data such as number of firms and

their geographic distribution. Obtaining this type of market data is a necessary first

step to help firmly “size up a new market” to determine

the optimal business strategy and operations. 5. Get insights into product features If organizations want to come up with a new

product or improve an existing one, theyneed to

know whether they have the right features and

packaging. Research will provide insights that

company can use to refine products, before

committing to expensive production costs. When companies design new product research,

they gather consumer feedback on a concept

and/or a prototype. They also need to collect data

on consumer reaction to the product and its

features, including its look, design, usability, colors,

packaging and other variables. Companies might also ask how consumers would

shop for this product to gather insights for a

distribution plan. They can also ask for reactions to

the marketing messages, creative content and

promotional ideas that are planned for the product

launch. Typically, companies would have to start with

qualitative research (interviews or focus groups)

because this conversational format allows to gather

rich, in-depth feedback from consumers. If possible,

company could provide a prototype or sample of

the product for customers to touch and use. After that, companies could validate the research

insights with comprehensive survey with a similar

audience but a larger sample set (i.e. more than

100 consumers). By doing this, companies will have

rich data to make informed decisions on finalizing

the product concept and/or design. Content Page

How to Succeed in

Key Account Management

Harshdeep kakkad

PGDM

Key Account Management is an approach which includes developing a long term relationships with their strategic customers, whose need you understand in depth, and for whom you gives a special offers with a differential advantages. KAM is one of the most important change in the selling that has been seen from past two decades. KAM is radically different organizational process B2B suppliers use to manage their relations with the strategically important customers, and it produces measurable business benefits. KAM IS AN ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGE, NOT A SALES TECHNIQUE. Smart suppliers are keen to implement the KAM. But sadly many KAM implementations fails and are abandoned. The chances of success can be increased by following steps:- 1. Recognize that KAM is an organizational

change, not a sales technique. ? KAM implementations take years, not

months. The companies that succeed in the implementation of the KAM thought the changes in a way they did business, not as something confined to the sales. KAM is a commitment to work differently with the strategic or priority customers, to fulfill this promise other supplier divisions has to understand and support KAM.

2. Involvement of top level sponsorship.

? An organizational changes of this magnitude requires interference of top level sponsorship. The best companies have high level sponsors for each of their key accounts. For example, members of board of directors, including CEO, each sponsor several key accounts and visit regularly

3. Appoint a KAM champion.

? Once an organization decides to implement

KAM, the next step is to find someone to

champion the program. It’s best if this person

directly reports to top level management, at

least for the duration of the project. Your KAM

champion should be passionate and have good

influencing skills and a high energy level.

Tetrapak has two KAM champions who travel

the world promoting the message about KAM

within the companies. 4. Identify your key accounts carefully.

? To start KAM program, identify some key accounts and develop offers that differentiates them from the rest of the customers. Start small. It is easier to add customers to your KAM program instead of demote customers after you have told them they are key accounts. Our thumb rule is to have between 5-25 key accounts. Do not add certain customers to your KAM program just because they have been customers for a while or they are buddies with the CEO.

5. Appoint and train your key account manager.

? Many organizations appoint their best salespeople into KAM role. KAM is about changing the way people work- it is not just a sales technique. Think about what the role requires (finance, planning, interpersonal and influencing skills), and then pick the right person for the role. Don’t forget to train them: very few people have all the skills to be required for KAM role.

Goods and Service Tax (GST) is an indirect tax applicable throughout India which replaced multiple cascading taxes levied by the Central & State Government. It is one indirect tax for the whole nation, which will make India one unified common market. It is a single tax on the supply of goods and services, right from the manufacturer and consumer. Credits of input taxes paid at each stage will be available in the subsequent stage of value addition, which makes GST essentially attacks only on value addition at each stage; the final consumer will thus bear only the GST charged by the last dealer in the Supply Chain, with set of benefits at all the previous stages. IMPACT OF GST Things can have a positive impact or a negative

impact. Things such as : I. Eating out

II. Phone bills

III. Jewellery IV. Online shopping V. Banking & insurance

VI. Travelling

THINGS WHICH HAVE BECOME CHEAPER

1) Buying a car 2) Televisions 3) Movie tickets 4) Processed foods 5) Cement

GST impact on Economy: Things to watch out for

? Shaking up corporate operations- the new tax regime will force many companies to restructure their operations.

? Passing on the benefit of lower tax – close look

on whether the companies are passing on the benefit of lower taxes to consumers.

? Inflation may remain low – as GST rates on essential goods such as food grain , household consumer consumer item and essential services have been either exempt or kept lower.

? RBI may not cut rates in June

? Economic growth may not jump immediately.

? There will be more transparency in the system . GST will remove custom duties applicable on exports, a single taxation system will eliminate the roadblocks such as check posts etc. Impact on common man : COMMON MAN FRIENDLY

? Huge number of items are either tax exempt or in 5% tax bracket.

? Maximum benefits to the poor and the common man .

? Ensuring that poor will get their due . ? Level playing field for small traders in any

part of the country. IMPACT ON INDUSTRY

? Common procedures for registration, duty payment , return filing and refund of taxes .

? Seamless flow of tax credit from manufacturers / supplier to user / retailer to eliminate cascading of taxes.

? More efficient neutralization of taxes to make our exports more competitive internationally .

An Article on Compilation of

Two Wheeler Brands in India

INTRODUCTION In two wheeler markets India has the world second

largest Market. It stands next only to Japan and

china in terms of the number of two wheelers

produced and sold respectively. In India every

month sold nearly 3-lakh motor cycle. The two- wheeler industry is among the few that

have managed to face the industrial slow down. The

industry's impressive growth of over 14%. The

Indian two wheelers industry can be broadly

classified into three major segments i.e.:-

1. Scooters

2. Motorcycles

3. Mopeds. Here in this study, by this research we are trying to

analyse about the number of two wheelers and

what motivates and influence them to buy two

wheeler what is the most preferable choice in two

wheelers in case of motor cycles and scooters and

the most recent two wheelers choice in the market

.what are their preference, who influenced them and

the reason to buy. Two-wheelers are one of the most versatile forms of

transportation. The adaptive ability of a motorised

two-wheeler can be characterised by its usage

quick transport small packages of goods through

the cramped bazaar streets. A fast ride to catch the

school/college bus, or even a brief

trip to purchase vegetables. The

sheer pleasure of riding a motorbike with the wind

blowing on your face, while on a pleasure ride is one

of the most compelling reason to own a two-wheeler. In India, the three top reasons for ownership of a

two-wheeler are:

? low cost of ownership and maintenance

? compact size and

? ease of learning and use After year of cursing along at fairly relaxed pace, two-

A Study on Quality of Life of Gym User Standard indicators of the quality of life include not

only wealth and employment but also the built

environment, physical and mental health, education,

recreation and leisure time, and social belonging. According to the World Health Organization (WHO),

quality of life is defined as “the individual's

perception of their position in life in the context of

the culture and value systems in which they live and

in relation to their goals.” In comparison to WHO's definition, the quality of

life as “life quality at a precise moment in time.” Bangalore also known as the fastest emerging India's

fitness capitals and can probably boast of the largest

number of premium gyms and fitness centers in the

country. The large numbers of IT companies in these

cities with their fitness-conscious employees are

obvious targets of the gyms. They have high pressure

jobs and travel a lot. Corporate, on their part are today

very conscious about employees' health and fitness

issues R.T.Nagar scenario: Rabindranath Tagore Nagar or just R. T. Nagar is

an area in Bangalore, India. It is situated in the

northern part of the city. There are fifteen gyms in

the entire area with seven hundred gym users. Out

of which 7 people opt for body building, 260 people

for fitness, 430 People for weight correction and around 50 people for

stress buster. In order to identify the extent and nature

of cause-and-effect relationships. Causal studies

focus on an analysis of quality life of gym user to

explain their gym usage patterns. We conduct a survey in the gym of Bangalore-R.T.

Nagar to gather people's perspective toward fitness,

health, workout and nutritional supplements. In depth interviews were conducted with the trainer

and customer chosen from wide spectrum of

gym.The use of well formatted questionnaire

selectively prepared for gym user provided a

comprehensive picture of common man's

perception towards fitness and health.

The above graph represent the purpose of visiting

gym. Our survey emphasis people are more

devotees towards stress buster which is 50%

compare to others.

20

Stress has behavioural consequences which in

excess could have physical consequences. The

above graph represent 64% of people undergo high

level of mental stress.

The above graph represent the stress level relieved

after visiting the gym. About 58% of respondent

agreed that stress level decreased after visiting gym.

About 70% of respondent agreed that purpose of

visiting gym is to gain self-confidence followed by

good looks 60%, more energy 25% and so on.

21

The above graph represent the fitness level visiting

gym before and after. About 76% of respondent

agreed that fitness level increased after visiting gym. CONCLUSION The survey data demonstrated the significant

improvement in the 'quality life of gym user'. They

also showed that the program increased

percentages of participants engaging in positive

environmental behavior. Healthy living is a combination of many things,

including good nutrition, regular exercise and a

positive attitude. Taking care of your body and

feeling pride in your accomplishments can improve

both your physical and mental health. There are many things you can do to improve your

quality of life - improving your diet and exercising

regularly are two of the easiest steps. No matter

how small you start, you can make a change and an

improvement in your life. For more ideas on improving important life skills

and your quality life, try some of the other skills

courses, such as assertiveness training, improving

self-image, and stress management. In conclusion, this survey successfully provide us

valuable information about devotion of people to gym.

According to this survey we released that some of

the gymer can be so determined to work out in the

gym for more than one hour especially those body

builder and for those people who aim to lose weight. We also realized that some of the gymers just go to

the gym for less than an hour, probably feeling tired

or lack of time, while some of them nearly go gym to

socialize and relax themselves. Besides, the

biggest problem that we found out is some of the

gymers do not know the way of using the equipment

in the gym room due to the unclear instruction. Last but not least, from the survey we did, we found

that most of the gymer expect to have more gym

rooms that are opened 24hours daily so that they are

more convenient and have more choice of time to go

for gym even after whole day of working or studying. We truly thank to all respondents and all parties that

provides help when the survey is ongoing. We also

advice and encourage people to exercise more,

regardless outdoor or in the gym. They should refer

to experience friends or senior, or look for advices

tutorial online before doing workout so that they can

reach their aim effectively and avoid themselves

from being injured. Taking care of our body

appearances is not a form of vanity, but is one of

the ways to boost one self-confidence.

The Story of Two Seeds

Two seeds lay side by side in the fertile soil. The first seed said,

"I want to grow!

I want to send my roots deep into the soil beneath me, and thrust my sprouts through the earth's crust above me...I want to unfurl my tender buds like banners to announce the arrival of spring...I want to feel the warmth of the sun on my face and the blessings of the morning drew on my petals"!

And so she grew...

On The Other Hand

The second seed said, "Hmmm...

If I send my roots into the ground below, I don't know what I

will encounter in the dark. If I push my way through the hard

soil above me I may damage my delicate sprouts what If I let

my buds open and a snail tries to eat them? And If I were to open my blossoms, a small the ground.

No, If is much better for me to wait until it is safe".

And so she waited...

Then one day.

A yard hen scratching around in the early spring ground

for food found the

waiting seed and promptly ate it. Those who think

negatively and refuse to risk will get swallowed up by life...

BUT THOSE WHO "DREAM BIG & THINK POSITIVELY" WILL GROW & PROSPER.

How to Stop Feeling

Insecure

AJAY JAJU UOM

Embrace insecurity totally. Of course it`s easier said

than done but this is the only way out of insecurity.

You will feel secure once you are completely “okay”

with the uncertainty of life. Then your mind will not

hold you hostage with thoughts of insecurity. Here a

few pointers which you can use against your mind

when it tries to frighten you with negative thoughts. Embrace ”not knowing” :- If you are uncertain you

are closer to truth than when you fully certain. The

mind wants conclusion but life is always open

ended. Get comfortable with “not knowing” and

most of your insecurities will vanish. Have you

noticed that the thing you are most certain about is

what lets you down? You can`t ever know what`s good for you. Just let live

bathe you in experiences because that`s what this

game is all about. When you are willing to soak,

instead of resisting, life becomes a beautiful journey. Failure is the best thing that will happen to you :- Stop judging yourself on the basis of a failure or

success. No success ever lasts, neither does failure.

Everything in life is just an experience. Fell free to fail

miserably, it`s the best growth experience you will ever

have. After all, is it not true that success teaches you

nothing while failure deepens you. Obsessing about the future is just a waste of energy :- take no thought for the morrow, for the

morrow shall take thought of itself- a simple yet

profound saying. As esus said, “look at the lilies how

the grow, they don`t toil and spin”. Plan your future if

that you can ever predict it. Be

comfortable in the knowledge that

everything works out for the good. Nothing will last forever :- Why do feel so scared to

accept this simple truth of life. Everything that arises

will subside eventually. All forms, relationships,

businesses etc. Insecurity arises when we don`t

embrace this truth. Life is all about birthing and dying. “ This shall also pass” :- just remember these

words if you ever fell insecure about a life situation.

The most miserable experiences have a time span

for which they can last, and then they pass, why not

just look for the seed of growth in our experiences

instead of dreading their presence. Allow a deeper intelligence to guide you :- your

mind is just a alarmist of the worst order. It filled

with ideas of dread. It`s always expecting the worst

and all it does is scare the hell out of itself. The truth

is that you are not your mind. The awareness in

which the mind noise arises is what you are in

reality. When you simply stay in silence you get in

touch with your true nature of “pure awareness”.

Deep wisdom flows in when you are in touch with

this space. So when you feel insecure, just become

silent for a while. The mind noise will threaten and

shout, but you just stay effortless and silent. If you do this a deep intelligence will suddenly arise

within you and either resolve your problem or give

you the strength to cope with it Don`t run away from the pain :- As hard as it might

25

seem, you have no choice but face the pain. If you

run away from it, it will arise again and more

strongly. If thoughts of insecurity arise within you,

don`t shield yourself by taking the protection of

alcohol, entertainment or food. Face it, become

deeply one with it and be completely aware of it you

don`t have to analyze it. Just stay as the silent

presence till its done with its play.

Write down your problems:- if you are feeling

insecure about a future situation, it`s very helpful to

write down the exact nature of the problem. Just

writing it down will help clear up mind.

You will be amazed at the various solutions you can

come up with once you put down your problems on

paper instead of twirling it around in your mind. Be

very objective in how you approach the problem. If

you really don`t know how to solve it just become

comfortable with the feeling of not knowing.

Thoughts of insecurity will arise. There will be no

stop to it. The mind by its very nature is always

insecure. The secret is to by detach to the mind,

then its horror tales will not influence you. This is

the only true liberation from insecurity. Content Page

Mother and The Child

A child is a helpless creature,

That can only be helped by a mother.

Mother is an angel for the child.

Whom god has sent to care for the child.

She makes the child happy,

And smile and sing for him.

She teaches the child a language to speak,

And the way to pray to god.

She protects her child with from all evils,

And loves her child with whole heart.

She talks about god with her child,

And the way to talk to god.

This is how a mother nurtures her child,

Even at the risk of her life.

Thanks you god, for creating mother.

Thanks you mother, for giving me such

A wonderful life

Be with me till I am alive

Positive Attitude to Cope Your Stress Living with constant insecurity can be stressful.

Living with job insecurity _the “fear” of losing your

job _ can be more harmful to your health than

actually losing it. Here, keeping a positive attitude

can make all the difference! If you`re stressed

about your career, try some of these tips:

? Remember the saying “Whenever one door closes, another one opens.”Livin with uncertainty can be uncomfortable, but you

can control hoe you look at it. It can be an

adventure, and the chance to do something

new. ? If you`re a good worker with marketable

skills, then you have a lot to offer other

potential employers if you get laid off. This is

why it`s so important to keep your skills

relevant and up _to_ date ? In today`s job market, the technical skills you

need can change quickly. So, develop your

nontechnical skills as well. If your lack of job

security is due to a drop in demand for your

technical skills, think “outside the box.” What

else can you do_ and how can you prove that

you could learn a new line of work? Look at

your track record of being adaptable, your

organizational skills like time management,

team management and leadership. ? Stress can result from a feeling that you don`t

have control over your situation. Remember,

you ALWAYS have control. It`s your life, and

it`s within your power to change it. If you`re

afraid that you might get “downsized,” then

take control and act. Look for lateral transfers

within your company, to a different department

or even a different branch. Start learning about

other departments; perhaps your skills would

allow you to do something completely different

within the organization. Be PROACTIVE

instead of REACTIVE. ? If you`re part of a team (or if you`re leading a

team ), allow everyone to voice their fears.

Communicating and expressing frustrations

are important, but don`t let these fears

dominate the group. This can create negativity

and hurt morale. So, have an open discussion, Content Page

Beautiful Prayer

I ask God, to take away my habit. God said, No.

It is not for me to take away, but for you to give it up. I asked God to make my spirit grow.

God said, No. You must grow on your own!

I asked god to grant me patience. God said, No.

Patience is a by product of tribulations; It isn`t granted, it is learned.

I asked God to give me happiness God said, No

I give you blessings; Happiness is up to you. I asked God to spare me pain

God said, No Suffering draws you apart from worldly cares

and brings you close to me. I asked god for all things that I might enjoy life.

God said, No I will give you life, so that you may enjoy all things.

I asked God to help me LOVE others, as he loves me. God said, ahhhh, finally you have the idea.

This DAY Is YOURS DON’T THROE IT AWAY May God Bless You,

MOM Program 3-7-2017 - 9-7-2017

The La Search module as a part of the MOM program

focused on the basics of leadership guided by

professionals through nonstop activities. The activity took off with a contact and coordinate

game, where the students had to make sure to be

in touch with each without disturbing the

requirements of the surroundings, and without

being disturbed by the external influences. The risks of being a leader, a follower, a team player,

a motivator, a competitor were understood through the

Landmine game where a blind folded individual was

guided/misguided to reach the goal with all the risks

accounted. A leader has to be a good listener, a team player, one

among everyone and respecting everyone at par. The

leader has to have the ability to accommodate every

individual along with their mindset and accomplish the

task with available resources. The paper tower activity

taught the students with perfection. The La search concluded reluctantly with the

students asking for more irrespective of the time.
