Where is the CO2 going?• Simple simulation – high porosity, does not capture lateral heterogeneity

or faults/fractures

CO2 Injection to mid 2007

• 70% of total produced CO2 injected to date with 3 injectors on line

• Some injectivity decline due to reservoir pressure increase (not decline in injectivity index), could be improved with greater WHP.

Risk Based Approach to Monitoring

• Injection well : Ongoing pressure monitoring

• Early CO2 Breakthrough: Modelling, tracers, seismic imaging, observation wells

• Vertical leakage : Seismic imaging, microseismic, aquifer studies, soil gas sampling, surface flux, gravity, tiltmeters,

satellite imagery

• Wellbore leakage: Annulus monitoring, soil gas sampling,

continuous surface monitoring, through casing logging
