Industrial Revolution Inventions
The effects of the Industrial Revolution have long impacted our modern day society,
however, these effects were not the only impact as a wide range of inventions during
that time period has helped our modern day society to grow into the technological
advance state that it is today. Below is a list of some of the greatest inventions that
came forward during the Industrial Revolution. You will research one of the following
inventions and will complete the following questions/statements seen below.
1. Name of the invention, the inventor and a short biography of the inventor
(provide his credentials).
2. Dates relevant to its development.
3. An explanation of how the invention works and what it was used for.
4. Does the invention replace any previous invention and how does the invention
improve the operations or production during the Industrial Revolution?
5. An explanation on how this invention has helped the development of modern
day technology.

Note: Keep in mind that in some of these inventions, they were improved upon a
few times. Make sure you make mention of those individuals who improved upon
another inventor’s work, and how they improved the technology.
You will present your final product as a video infomercial, which is looking
to sell your product during the Industrial Revolution. In your video, you will be
required to answer the above questions.

Will need a works cited page with all sources used. No Wikipedia.
Assignment is out of 30 marks
A helpful video resource to use is Adobe Spark, but it is up to you how you
create your video.
