microFX connectors and cables connected to integral microFX
transceivers in the zone 1 I/O devices provide a safe, reliable
link to a high-performance modular MICE switch in zone 2. The
op-is (optically inherent safe) approved optical port on the
MICE switch plays a crucial role. This technology opens up a
whole new range of possibilities for manufacturers of zone 1
I/O devices and for the Industrial Ethernet community in general.
