The concept of holding industry specific multiple trade shows, based on world renownedHANNOVER MESSE is now well established in India. This was the fifth edition of the showswhich comprised of MDA INDIA, Industrial Automation INDIA, CeMAT INDIA, Surface INDIAand the new topic Laser INDIA.
Our trade fairs in India represent the leading topics of Hannover Messe, which means theyshowcase state-of-art technology in hydraulics and pneumatics, industrial automation, materialshandling and logistics, surface treatment and laser technology.
From Mumbai last year, the 5th edition of the shows returned to Bangalore after an interval of 2years. This offered the exhibitors an opportunity to showcase new products and technology tothe large industrial sector in southern India. During these testing times, not only the developed economies butalso the emerging markets are striving to go that extra mile to sustainthe growth. The industrial trade shows are the most effectivemarketing channels preferred by the industries to reach out toexisting and new potential customers.
This was proven again with the conclusion of the 5th Edition of the 5
specialised shows held at the Bangalore International ExhibitionCenter (BIEC) from the 6-9 December, 2011. With around 400Exhibitors from 25 countries under one roof, the show has improvedthe record of international participation compared to last year. Thisyear, the show witnessed 6800 high-level decision makers visiting theshows.
The event was inaugurated by G.V. Kongavad, IAS, Secretary toGovernment of Karnataka and in presence of Dr. Veit Steinle,Director-General, Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and UrbanDevelopment, Berlin, Germany as the Guest of Honour.
“The Government of India has announcedan investment of US$ 1 trillion between 2012 and2017 in the industrial sector includingautomobiles, logistics, etc. International showslike Hannover Fairs provide companies anappropriate platform and lucrative opportunities,apart from acting as an engine for industrialgrowth.” said Mr. Kongavad.
