• Physical hazards are those substances or conditions that threaten our physical safety.

• For example- Hot and cold - Noise - Light - Vibration - Radiation

Physical Hazard


• Chemical hazard are present when we are exposed or contact with any chemical preparation (solid, liquid or gas) at the workplace.

• Example of chemical hazard are - Asbestos from demolition or remodeling of older

building - Silica from drilling, cutting concrete - Welding fumes from welding work

Chemical Hazard


• come from working with people, animals or infectious plant material.

• Examples include: blood or other bodily fluids, bacteria and viruses, insect bites)

• Can cause disease and outbreak for example malaria, dengue, cholera etc.

When there is a fire, what you should do?

Stop all work!

Act immediately! Sound the alarm and shout FIRE…FIRE...

Give priority to your own safety

Inform the Emergency Response Team (ERT)

Put out the fire with a suitable fire extinguisher if it is safe to do so.

Do not try to extinguish the fire on your own

If you are not trained to fight fires, leave immediately and shut the door

Call the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia immediately by dialing 999.

Do not try re-enter the building once you have left it.

• Switch off all electrical appliances

• Just take things in hand reach

• Move quickly to emergency exit

Personnel who witness the situation shall immediately report to immediate Site Supervisor as follows:
