- Purpose of hazard identification is to highlight the critical operations of tasks, that is, those task posing significant risks to the health and safety of employees as well as highlighting those hazards pertaining to certain equipment due to energy sources, working conditions or activities performed. - work place inspections; - job hazard analysis; - preliminary investigations; - accident and incident investigations.

• Physical hazards are those substances or conditions that threaten our physical safety.
• For example- Hot and cold - Noise - Light - Vibration - Radiation

What is Risk?

1. Duty of First Aider- Ensure the contents of first aid box are sufficient and within the
“use by” dates - To give immediate response during the emergency.
- Direct his team to give necessary medical/ first aid assistance where required
- Make necessary arrangement for calling in outside assistance where required

When there is a fire, what you should do?
Stop all work!
Act immediately! Sound the alarm and shout FIRE…FIRE...
Give priority to your own safety
Inform the Emergency Response Team (ERT)
Put out the fire with a suitable fire extinguisher if it is safe to do so.
Do not try to extinguish the fire on your own
If you are not trained to fight fires, leave immediately and shut the door
Call the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia immediately by dialing 999.
Do not try re-enter the building once you have left it.

• PPE is used when other controls measures are not feasible and where additional protection is needed.
• Workers must be trained to use and maintain equipment properly.
• The employer and workers must understand the limitations of the personal protective equipment.

Incident/ Accident Reporting ProcedureAction To Be Taken After An Accident/Incident
Personnel who witness the situation shall immediately report to immediate Site Supervisor as follows:
Report to person in charge and Safety and Health Officer or Safety and Health Supervisor
Give first-aid and CPR (if necessary)/Call for first aider
Call ambulance (if necessary)
Cordon off the area
QHSE and HR Dept. shall be informed within 24 hours
Notes:The General Manager, Managing Director must be informed if involving fatal or major accident
