ALUMINIUM EDGING
Using an aluminium edge restraint is another option for a discreet, effective way of containing the porcelain paved area. These are available in 2 or 3 lineal metre lengths & various heights (the 40mm high version will work with the 20mm porcelain paver where the sand bed is compacted to 35mm).
FILLING JOINTS
Finally, we recommend using Amber “Interlock” paving sand for joints. Once wet, this will help lock in the system, minimise joint erosion from wind/rain & growth of weeds etc. It is important to keep topping up the Interlock paving sand to ensure joints are not exposed.
The above are recommendations only. Conditions will vary from site to site and therefore the contractor should decide whether these applications are adequate or further adjustments need to be made.
All installations must be made in accordance with Australian Standards for Paving and installed by a licenced tradesman
