INDOOR AND OUTDOOR SPORTS, RECREATION AND OPEN AIR ACTIVITIES SECTOR Daily Checklist The purpose of this document is to support the indoor and outdoor sports, recreation and open air activities sector in managing occupational health and safety (OHS) in their workplace. The aim is to ensure that activities can be resumed or continue in the safest and healthiest conditions possible in the context of COVID-19. NOTE : _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The dining room and other meal areas are cleaned before and after use and are disinfected every day (e.g. tables, refrigerator door handle, chair backs, microwave oven). NOTE : _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Soap and water or an alcohol-based hand rub that contains at least 60% alcohol are available in key locations for handwashing. Daily Checklist

The purpose of this document is to support the indoor and outdoor sports, recreation and open air activities sector in managing occupational health and safety (OHS) in their workplace. The aim is to ensure that activities can be resumed or continue in the safest and healthiest conditions possible in the context of COVID-19.

Hand hygiene, cough and sneeze etiquette and physical distancing rules are posted and observed.

Specific Measures

Suppliers, subcontractors, partners and participants have been informed of the preventive measures taken in the company or organization to reduce and control the risks associated with COVID-19 and have been made aware of the importance of following them.

NOTE : _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Measures have been taken to limit the number of participants on the site of the company or organization, in the various rooms and at the different locations where activities are held.

NOTE : _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Participants who go to the site of the company or organization are questioned to confirm that they do not have symptoms of COVID-19 (cough, fever, contact with a symptomatic person, etc.).

NOTE : _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Participants who have symptoms are told that they must postpone their activities.

NOTE : _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

An alcohol-based hand rub that contains at least 60% alcohol is provided to workers in workplaces where there are no handwashing facilities nearby.

NOTE : _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Hand hygiene is performed at the entrance to the site before and after activities, meals, breaks, when going to the washroom and after taking off personal protective equipment.

NOTE : _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Non-essential items (magazines, newspapers, knick-knacks) have been removed from locations where activities are held and from the site of the company or organization.

NOTE : _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Signage (e.g., markers on the floor) has been put in place to ensure physical distancing of 2 metres near reception, washrooms and at the entrance to changing rooms and any other common areas (e.g., bench, bleachers, viewing gallery), where applicable.

Physical barriers have been installed when necessary and if possible (between work stations and between staff and clients).

NOTE : _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The number and layout of the various types of equipment in sports, leisure and outdoor recreation facilities have been revised to maintain a physical distance of 2 metres whenever possible (e.g., tables, benches, chairs have been removed).

NOTE : _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Measures have been taken to maintain a physical distance of 2 metres in changing rooms.

NOTE : _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Group activities must allow a distance of at least 2 metres to be maintained between activity leaders (coaches, guides, counsellors, etc.) and participants (e.g., markers on the floor).

NOTE : _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The room and any surfaces and items touched by a participant or staff member who has symptoms are disinfected once they have left and access to the room and items is restricted during this time.

Measures are taken during financial transactions (e.g. payment by contactless card is preferred, avoid touching clients’ cards).

If cash is exchanged, the worker must wash their hands or disinfect them with an alcohol-based hand rub that contains at least 60% alcohol immediately afterwards.

Whenever possible, the sharing of tools, equipment and any other items between the worker and another person is avoided.

At the work station (in reception or in locations where activities are held), surfaces, equipment, tools and material are disinfected after each use or when they must be shared.

Washrooms and other sanitary facilities are cleaned every shift and disinfected every day.

NOTE : _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

High-touch surfaces (e.g., door handles, faucets, leisure equipment, telephones, computer accessories, equipment) are cleaned and disinfected regularly (e.g. every shift, during the interval between two activities, before and after each use).

NOTE : _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Products for disinfecting equipment and tools are readily available and clearly identified in all key locations.

NOTE : _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Sports, leisure or outdoor recreation items and equipment (e.g., kayak, canoe, bicycle, fishing rod, games) that are rented or loaned out are disinfected before and after each use.

NOTE : _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Facilities are properly maintained (surfaces are cleaned and disinfected regularly, appropriate concentrations of disinfectant are used in pools, as prescribed in the Regulation respecting water quality in swimming pools and other artificial pools.

NOTE : _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Personal protective equipment that is appropriate for the level of risk is provided (e.g., respiratory protection, safety goggles, visor that covers the face down to the chin, gloves).

NOTE : _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Before leaving the site, the staff member who had contact with the participants must safely remove the protective equipment and put any disposable equipment in the trash container or in containers or sealable bags provided for this purpose. Reusable equipment (eye protection, if reusable) must be disinfected with an appropriate product; whenever possible, take off clothes and put them in a plastic or cloth bag. Wash clothes worn at work with regular laundry detergent.
