Welcome to the 15th National Congress of Indonesian Society ofNeuroanesthesia and Critical Care (INA-SNACC) and 7th Joint Symposiumof Neuroanesthesia and Critical Care (NACC) Indonesia – Singapore inconjunction with 6th Biennial Symposium of Anesthesia Complication(SOAC) which to be held virtually on July until August 2021.

These scientific events has gained prominence over the years with itsobjective to advance the scientific knowledge and practice ofNeuroanesthesia, Anesthesiology in general, Emergency and Critical Care.The organizing committee has put together an exciting scientific programwith a line-up of highly esteemed international and local speakers whowill bring us insights on the latest issues in Neuroanesthesia,Anesthesiology in general, Emergency and Critical Care.

We are also pleased to receive papers from young future experts whowant to share their case and research interests at the symposiums.Unique clinical presentations can occur in our days of residency trainingor in our days of a long and eventful career. These events give theopportunity for the participants to discuss, share, and engage instimulating discussions at the various scientific sessions andpresentations.

6th Biennial SOAC in a Broader Perspective

The current era of the COVID pandemic encourages medical doctors to keep up-to-date their knowledges in supporting daily medical services. The developmentof technology today makes it easier for us to share information of medicalsciences and experiences through virtual meetings without having to meet faceto face.

Some complications of anesthesia end with fatal or near fatal condition,especially in managing neurosurgery patients. Good perioperative care plays animportant role to prevent complications. To prevent an error is to practice themotto “be prepare”. And we become prepared by educating ourselves and byensuring that all necessary equipment and personnel are available.

The 15th National Congress of Indonesian Society of Neuroanesthesia andCritical Care (INA-SNACC) and 7th Joint Symposium of Neuroanesthesia andCritical Care (NACC) Indonesia – Singapore in conjunction with 6th BiennialSymposium of Anesthesia Complication (SOAC) give you the opportunity toshare the energy, creativity, and enthusiasm generated by various topicspresented by a line-up of highly esteemed international and local speakers whowill bring us insights on the importance of every essential part of perioperativeto manage complications, also give us the best and up-to-date knowledge andpractice on the latest issues in Neuroanesthesia, Anesthesiology in general,Emergency and Critical Care.

METHODOLOGYDuring 2 weeks of virtual meeting as scheduled, approximately 500 medicaldoctors will attend multiple programs consist of plenary lectures, discussionand sharing experience with experts in the field of Neuroanesthesia,Anesthesiology in general, Emergency and Critical Care.

MISSION STATEMENTOur mission is to offer a comprehensive up-to-date recommendations andreferences of current issues related to Neuroanesthesia, Anesthesiology ingeneral, Emergency and Critical Care.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

In light of the ongoing impact of COVID on domestic and internationaltravel, the organizing committee have taken the decision to move the 15th

National Congress of Indonesian Society of Neuroanesthesia and CriticalCare (INA-SNACC) and 7th Joint Symposium of Neuroanesthesia andCritical Care (NACC) Indonesia – Singapore in conjunction with 6th BiennialSymposium of Anesthesia Complication (SOAC) to an entirely virtual onJuly until August 2021. Moving online provides an exciting opportunity toensure that the 15th National Congress of INA-SNACC and 7th JointSymposium of NACC Indonesia – Singapore in conjunction with 6th

Biennial SOAC become the most accessible gathering of its kind. Withoutthe expense of travel and accomodation we expect to welcome the globalcommunity of anesthesia and perioperative care providers everassembled for a congress. Alongside a comprehensive scientificprograms, the virtual platform provides unique opportunities to meet,collaborate, and share experiences with a truly global network ofanesthesiologists.

GOALProviding the up-to-date recommendations and references of currentissues related to Neuroanesthesia, Anesthesiology in general, Emergencyand Critical Care.

OBJECTIVE1. To improve the knowledge, attitude, and practice of the participants

1. Presentant presents a case report or a research result in aPowerPoint with a duration of 15 minutes, followed by discussionsession with panelists led by moderator, according to the scheduleset by the committee.

GENERAL TEXT GUIDELINES• Manuscript must be an original composition.• Manuscripts must have never been published before and only addressed to the

committee.• The copyright of all contents of the published manuscripts is transferred to the

committee.• All statements in the manuscript are under the responsibility of the author.• Manuscripts are written in accordance with applicable Indonesian language rules.• All medical terms written in standard Indonesian terms wherever possible.

FORM OF THE TEXT• The manuscript is typed in Arial 11 letter, 1.5 spaces, 2.5 cm apart between the

edges of the paper, A4 paper size (210 x 297 mm).• The manuscript of a research result should not exceed 20 pages.• The case report should not exceed 15 pages.

COMPLETENESS OF THE TEXT• The manuscript (.pdf) is submitted to [email protected] before July 16th 2021.• Manuscripts are arranged in the following order: 1) title and author; 2) abstract

and keywords (Indonesian and English); 3) contents; 4) bibliography; 5) tables andpictures (with information).

• Authors should also keep copies of all the manuscripts.

TITLE AND AUTHOR• The title of the manuscript is written briefly and does not use abbreviations, not

more than 14 words.• The author's name is written complete with academic degree, name of

department and institution.

ABSTRACT AND KEYWORDS• Abstract is written in the form of a paragraph accompanied by 5 keywords, in

Indonesian and English.• The abstract of a research result is written in no more than 250 words containing:

1) the main introduction; 2) subjects and methods; 3) most important results; 4)main conclusions.

• The abstract of a case report is written in no more than 200 words containing: 1)an overview of the case; 2) management / therapy; 3) successful / failure ofmanagement.

CONTENT OF THE TEXT• The contents of a research paper: 1) introduction; 2) method; 3) results and

discussion; 4) conclusions and suggestions.• The contents of a case report: 1) introduction; 2) case; 3) discussion; 4) conclusion.

1) Introduction: Definition / meaning or limitation of the topic raised (background,uniqueness or specificity so as to choose the case, the purpose of the case tobe reported, brief but clear).

2) Case:a. Full identity of the pseudonym.b. History, physical examination, supporting examination, assessment.c. Management.d. Observation of management, result of management (successful / failure).e. Brief and complete, mainly displayed data that corresponds to the case

problem.3) Discussion:

a. Discuss diagnosis and case management.b. Discuss the gap between the theory and the actual that is related to the

result of management (successful / failure), difficulty, whether or not it isin accordance with the theory, compare it with other literature or othertheories.

4) Conclusion: Summarizing the results of the discussion, including suggestionsthat need to be put forward.

• Unusual abbreviations and footnotes are not permitted.• Inclusion of bibliography numbers, figure numbers and tables are arranged

according to the order in which they appear in the text.• Use Arabic numerals written in superscript to refer to the bibliography.

TABLES AND PICTURES• Tables and figures are presented in separate sheets and the location has been

stated in the text.• Each table is numbered and a title is placed on the table.• Each abbreviation in the table is annotated in the form of a footnote under the

table.• Each picture is numbered and a title is placed under the picture.• Descriptions in figures and tables must be informative enough, so that they are

easy to understand.

STATISTIC METHOD• For research results, the statistical method used must be explained and for the

rarely used methods must be explained in detail and given a referenceinformation.

BIBLIOGRAPHY• Bibliography is arranged in accordance with the provisions of Vancouver,

preferably the most recent references in the last 5 years not more than 30 copies.• References are numbered according to the order in which they appear in the text.• Avoid using abstracts and personal communications, unless absolutely essential.• Journal names are abbreviated according to those listed in the Index Medicus.
