Avishi Pataria of XII-A received a consolaon prize in the Essay Wring compeon organized by the Postal Department on the topic Dear Bapu, you inspire me’. In the MP Cadet State Fencing Championship, Dimple Dhamija of class IX-E received a Bronze medal. She also parcipated in the district level fencing championship organized by Shalya Shiksha Vibhag. She bagged a Silver medal. Individual Feats In the State Level Lawn Tennis Tournament held at Indore from 15th -19th September, Sakshi Ojha

of X-B won a Bronze medal .She has been selected to play at the National level.

Avishi Pataria of XII-A received a consolation prize in the Essay Writing competition organized by

the Postal Department on the topic ‘Dear Bapu, you inspire me’.

In the MP Cadet State Fencing Championship, Dimple Dhamija of class IX-E received a Bronze

medal. She also participated in the district level fencing championship organized by Shalya

Shiksha Vibhag. She bagged a Silver medal.

Daisy Jain of X-D participated in an Essay Writing Competition on the topic “Oil and Gas

Conservation” organized by Ministry of Petroleum and Natural gas .She received a certificate of

achievement .

In the 4th Divisional Inter-school Roller Skating Championship , 2017 held on 10thSeptember,

Jaisal Jain of IX-E was awarded a merit certificate and a Gold medal. She also secured the 1st

position in the Road Race organized by Association of Gwalior Youth Society.

On MP Tourism Day, a quiz was held at Utkarsh Vidhyalaya, Morar. Shirali Tiwari of X-B

represented our school. She also participated in the Master Mind Quiz held at Jaivilas Palace on

26th September on World Tourism Day.

Kritika Singh Rajput of class VIII-B won a Gold medal at State Level Taekwando Championship

held at Vidisha from 18th September-22nd September organized by School Games Federation of

Widening the Exposure Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1, had organized a seminar on teaching skills for Science teachers on 10th

September. It was attended by Mr. Sanjay Mishra ,Mr. M P S Tomar, Mrs. Rekha Jain and Mrs.

Vandana Indwar. Resource person Professor H.C. Verma (Rtd. Professor -IIT Kanpur) stressed on

adopting various techniques to facilitate the students with different learning styles.

Celebrations 4th September was indeed a special day as it marked the culmination of all the sports events held

earlier. A grand program was organized .The Chief Guest Rt. Rev. Dr. Thomas Thenatt and the guest

of honour, Rev. Father Vincent Soares were given a warm welcome by the school band followed by

lighting of the lamp and a welcome speech. A cultural program ensued thereafter. The highlights

of the program were the Chariot Formation ,Dance on Nature , Zumba and Nukkad Natak on the

theme ‘ Save Environment’.

Felicitations were offered to our students and teachers. Senior and junior sports

scholarship were awarded to Sakshi Ojha of X-B and Shiksha Tomar of VIII-A . ‘Lets Care’

award for community service was received by Arushi Kamboj (XII-A), Anushka Singh (XII-

A) , Diya Rastogi (XII-E), Muskan Sharma (XII-E) and Priya Nagpal (XII-E).

Centum Awards were given to the following teachers:

Mrs. Madhumita Bhattacharya, Mrs. Vimla William, Mrs. Suchitra Dhamdhere,

Mrs. Kanchan Tiwari, Mr. Avinash Suryawanshi, Ms. Sanchita Ghosh, Mrs. Deepti

Moghe, Mrs. Arpana Pendherkar and Mrs. Sangeeta Dhingra. The program concluded

with a vote of thanks.

September 14th was celebrated as Hindi Diwas. To promote and highlight the

importance of the language, the Hindi Association conducted a special assembly in

Hindi .It began with a prayer followed by speech, poem , a thought and news in Hindi.

Keeping the above thought in mind our school’s USM group took the initiative of

honouring the retired staff members of the school for their selfless contribution in

moulding the student’s future. The event was organized in Hotel Kwality, Jayendraganj.

Moments of fun... Different Education cum pleasure trips were organized for the students . The senior

students had a delightful time in Kerala. They visited Trivandrum, Kanyakumari and

Ernakulum.

Competitions beyond Precincts In the Sahodaya Hindi Speech and Recitation Competition which was held on Hindi

Diwas i.e. 14th September at Little Angels High School, Ritika Sharma of class X-C secured

3rd position in speech.

Our ‘Under 14’ and ‘Under 17’ Volleyball teams participated in State Level Volleyball

Tournament held at Porsa on 6th September. Our girls have been selected for the next

State Level competition to be held at Khandwa on 22nd October.

Our girls participated in category 2 Inter-School Yoga Competition held at Little Angels

High School. In the junior category our team stood 2nd. Also two individual prizes were

won by: Kanya Sharma of class VI-D secured 2nd position while Sonakshi Sharma of class

V–A secured 3rd position.

In the Sahodaya Interschool Swimming Tournament held at Morena ,three of our girls

won prizes :

Nimisha Sharma of std. VIII –D bagged Gold and Silver in two categories.

Nainshy Singh Rajawat of std. XI-A won a Bronze in two categories

while Rudrapriya Dandoditya of std. IV-C got a consolation prize

and our ‘Under 14’ team won 3rd position in 4x50 metres free style relay.

Bulletin Board Decoration Prize for the best Bulletin Board decoration for the month of September on the

theme –‘ Teacher- The Sculptor of Professions’ was won by class :

Clash Of Clans During the Sports Week ,various events were held . In Basketball (Senior group) Red house stood

first while Yellow and Blue house secured second and third positions. In Badminton (Senior group)

Blue house bagged the first position while Red and Green houses stood in the second and third

places. The overall House positions are as follows:

Commendation On Teachers Day , various organizations offered felicitations to our teachers as a mark of

appreciation for their contribution to the society .They were awarded a memento each. The ‘Jan

Utthan Nyas’ honoured Mrs. Madhumita Bhattacharya ,Mrs. Usha Singh, Mrs. Shailaja Dixit,

Mrs. Mridu Das Gupta ,Mrs. Kanchan Tiwari, Mrs. Eugene Extros and Mrs. Mamta Agrawal.

Mrs. Shailaja Extros, Mrs. Mridu Das Gupta and Mrs. Sujamani were honoured by Gwalior Vikas

Samiti while Prabhat Welfare and Social Society acknowledged Mrs. Mamta Agrawal for her social

service.
