Workshop Description: This workshop brings together scholars exploring innovative and experimental cultural practices that emerge from and are embedded in Indigenous Australia. Professor Barbara Glowczewski will deliver a paper examining her most recent research and collaborative projects in Aboriginal Australia. Professors Stephen Muecke (UNSW), Ian McLean (UOW), Dr Jennifer Biddle (UNSW) and Dr Lisa Slater (UOW) will deliver short papers on their intellectual travels and respond to Professor Glowczewski’s provocations. The workshop's focus is on new scholarship in critical Indigenous studies and cultural practices, with the objective of opening up a dialogue with scholars working in aligned fields.
