Five years ago, the Association of Canadian Deans of Education (ACDE) ratied an Accord on Indigenous Education (http://www .csse-scee.ca/acde/accords). At this historic junc- ture, with the delivery of the nal report of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Final Report to Par liament in June, 2015, leaders in Indigenous education are meeting to share pedagogical challenges and strategies at a panel discussion taking place at the University of Ottawa. The panel is being held in conjunction with the annual conference of the Cana- dian Society for the Study of Education (CSSE).

    The panel will feature leading Indigenous scholars from across Canada highlighting prog-ress made and challenges lying ahead particularly in relation to the specific goals of the Accord. We are pleased to announce that Truth and Reconciliation Commissioner Marie Wilson has agreed to act as respondent and to convey the recommendations for education from the TRCs final report.
