Similar to how a modern artist or composer is influenced by masters in the arts, the Indigo Maestro family pays homage to the classic Indigo Combo Beta.
Like a team of architects and engineers engaged in the transformation of a heritage listed building, Eagle Lighting has skilfully and carefully embedded modern technology into an existing form; this is where metal meets the mind and the mind is the guiding light.
Aristotle once said that “The whole is greater than the sum of its parts” and the new Indigo Maestro proves this. The combination of the optical chamber and the secondary transitional reflector combine to deliver outstanding results both in performance and in aesthetics, creating visually comfortable indoor environments.
The extruded optical chamber, whose form and profile can house a satin matte louvre (BETA version) or a micro-prismatic delta diffuser (DELTA version), ensures the downward light is delivered in a glare free and uniform manner from high quality LED’s.
For the upward light component, the back of the optical chamber houses an efficient LED module, above which sits an extruded cover. Its perfect geometry directs the light out and away from the centre, softening the contrast between the luminaire and the ceiling.

Designed for WELL-beingAs health and well-being becomes more and more of a focus, not only in our private lives, but also in the workplace, new building performance standards are recognising the need to update and upgrade what already exists and to adopt new ones too. One such tool is the WELL building standard.
Over the last decade, the drive towards sustainable buildings throughout Australia and New Zealand has become vital due to the great efforts of standards such as NABERS and Greenstar. This has created a transformation for those who are involved in and supply materials into the built environment.
What is now being looked at more closely is the impact of the building design on the well-being of people residing or working there. With the introduction of the WELL standard the industry is beginning address this. The objective of the WELL standard is to prioritise human health and comfort, ensuring new and existing buildings are better for people and for the planet.
WELL is the first standard of its kind that focuses solely on the health and wellness of a buildings occupants. The standard identifies 100 performance metrics, design strategies and policies that can be implemented by the owners, designers, engineers, contractors, users and operators of a building.
WELL Certified spaces and WELL Core and Shell Compliant developments can lead to a built environment that helps to improve the nutrition, fitness, mood, sleep, comfort and performance of its occupants.
The WELL Building Standard is founded on the understanding that facets of our environment interact with personal, genetic and behavioral factors to shape our overall health. Subconsciously, human behavior is dictated by external elements and WELL considers the interactions between humans, the built environment and how this shapes our physical health and well-being.
The WELL Building Standard for “Light” provides illumination guidelines that are aimed at minimizing disruption to the body’s circadian system, enhancing productivity, supporting good sleep quality and providing appropriate visual acuity where needed.
The Indigo Maestro is one such luminaire which can assist in gaining WELL certification under “Light”.

Lighting SYMMETRYBoth variants of the family (Beta and Delta) combine the best of high quality LED light sources with masterful optical beam shaping.
The Indigo Maestro Beta uses glare-free louvre technology, resulting in an optimum ‘batwing’ style light distribution. A locally designed optical system was developed around the light source to provide complete control of the light being emitted without sacrificing any visual comfort.
The Indigo Maestro Delta makes use of cutting-edge microprismatic diffuser technology to obtain exactly the required primary beam from the LED light source.
Both variants have the best-in-class vertical illuminance performance, a quality that is vital for the human circadian rhythm and melanopic response.
Optimal visual comfort is achieved with a custom indirect lighting system, ensuring the secondary transitional reflector is uniformly illuminated. The textured finish reduces the contrast in brightness, eliminates dark edges and provides a high level of visual comfort. In modern buildings occupant comfort must be the priority and best practice lighting design can ensure this.
