INDIAWOOD 2014, the 8th Edition of the largest trade fair outside Europe
& USA, for woodworking machinery, tools, accessories and raw materials is
scheduled to be held from February 21- 25, 2014 at Bangalore, India. Once
again this event is expected to attract around 600 exhibitors from more than
40 countries and approximately 40,000 visitors from all over the world.
On show at INDIAWOOD on 40,000 square meters of exhibition space will be
woodworking solutions, machineries, materials and components, which will
be categorized as machinery and non-machinery. Every two years this event
brings together market leaders from the woodworking sector to participate in
a unique international display of competence.
INDIAWOOD is one of the world´s largest and Asia's biggest sourcing
platform for Furniture Manufacturers, Wood-based Handicraft Manufacturers,
Saw Millers, Craftsmen, Woodworking Professionals, Architects and Interior
Designers in the region. The Govt. of India allowing 100% FDI in single-brand
retail and the International Retail Brands Proposal to enter the Indian market
will very quickly raise the benchmark for quality in the Furniture Industry,
which is already witnessing a major transition from the traditional processes
to advanced technology based production solutions. Major investments in
particle board and MDF manufacturing have been made in the past couple of
years. Large scale furniture manufacturing facilities are also expected to start
up operations in the next year or two. Apart from this, the industry is awaiting
formation of major industrial wooden clusters across India right from Kerala
to Kashmir.
Over the last decade, PDA Trade Fairs & EUMABOIS, in partnership with
exhibitors and visitors have catalyzed the growth of the Indian Woodworking
Industry. INDIAWOOD continues with its tradition of being a profitable
business partnership for the Woodworking Industry where demands and
solutions meet together.
The 8th Edition of INDIAWOOD is now scheduled for 21-25 February 2014
and is being held in Bangalore, once again.
