IMHC Fall Meeting
Join Us on November 14!
The fall meeting will be held from 1pm to 4pm at the Rodgers Pavilion in Kokomo (1402 W. Deffenbaugh St. Kokomo, IN 46902).This is the same venue from last year, since everyone seemed to really enjoy the laid back good time
and the cozy fire!
Lunch will be potluck with a cookoff theme. This year’s theme is Crockpot Cuisine and can include anything you can make in a crockpot. IMHC will provide plates, utensils, and drinks. Please bring utensils for serving your dish. If you would like to share your recipe, bring a copy along and we will compile them for
the next club newsletter.
Year-end Highpoint awards will be handed out and club business including elections will be held following lunch. If you would be interested in sponsoring a
Highpoint Division, the form is included at the end of this newsletter.
The silent auction will be on-going throughout the day. Please bring an item to donate and your checkbook so you can take home your favorite item! Proceeds from the auction help cover club awards and other club costs throughout the
year.
General socializing and horse bingo will follow the club business. Please rsvp by November 4 to Sara Hicks ([email protected], 847-772-2267) or Sharon
Hicks ([email protected], 574-277-2032).
Look forward to seeing you all there!

The Whinny:
Those Once In a Lifetime Horses...
It is with a broken heart that I share that Bridlewood Bo Gentry who was born on March 20, 1987 passed
away on May 28, 2015 at 2:30am. I must share our story so that you can truly understand the bond that we
shared. After moving to Georgia in 1998, I was introduced to Bo through Carole Dianne Emory Downs and
Marty Wilhelm. He came into my life at a point where I needed some redirection and our bond and new
experiences quickly turned my life around. From there, together we did horse shows, weddings, pony rides,
trail rides, as well as spending time at UGA for his cornea transplant. Soon after Jeff and I were
married ...and of course Bo adored Jeff too. After 20 years with him, I knew that he was that pony that all
little girls dream of...with a heart of gold. We traveled to a few barns that I want to thank for opening their
arms to us: Tyson, InUnison, Watkins, Impossible Dreams, Williams, And then to our own farm. As I write
this...with tears running down my face, I can only say that at 28 years old, he went too early and was still a
firecracker in the arena and a beautiful prancer in the pasture. I will eternally have a hole in my heart my
sweet sweet BoBo and can only say ... Until We Meet Again I will love you forever.. You are my hero and
will always hold a special place in my heart...rest in peace...and run free in greener pastures.
