All foreign nationals entering India are required to possess a valid international travel document in the formof a national passport with a valid visa obtained from an Indian Mission or Post abroad.
All Individual visa seekers are requested to apply for the Indian Visa through Online application link , in orderto make an application for getting the Indian visa.
The duly signed physical copy of the application form completed in all respect and submitted succesfully, is tobe submitted at the concerned Indian Visa Application Center (IVAC) or directly to Indian Mission/ Post, onthe scheduled date of interview along with the requisite supporting documents. The instructions for fillingthe form and scheduling the appointment can be seen at Instructions for Online Visa Application. IMPORTANT RULES TO FOLLOW:
COMMON ERROR (S) TO AVOID
SURNAME - IS YOUR LAST NAME.
GIVEN NAMES (s) - GIVEN NAMES (s) IS YOUR FIRST AND MIDDLE NAMES. YOU MUST LIST THEM ON YOUR VISA APPLICATION EXACTLY AS THEY ARE LISTED IN YOUR PASSPORT.
***Caution Errors on the visa application form CANNOT be fixed, an error of any type WILL result in the application being rejected by the Indian Consulate. If rejected you will be required to complete a new application and resend it to Travel Document Systems. Indian visa applications must be perfect, errors, omissions and mistakes cannot be edited or fixed by Travel Document Systems, please be careful when completing your application to avoid delays.
When filling in the section titled "Given Name" applicants MUST include their middle name.
Application forms must be printed on two separate pieces of paper. Application forms printed back to back on a single page are NOT accepted.
Applicants are required to sign the visa application in two places. On page 1, the applicant must sign COMPLETELY inside the box located under the photo area, if any part of the signature is outside of the box the application WILL be rejected. On page 2, the applicant must sign on the dotted line at the bottom of the page.
Visa applications for minors should have the applicant (minor) sign or print their names on the first page in the signature box under the photo. If the minor cannot sign or print his/her name a thumb print with blue or black ink MUST be placed in the signature box, applications without the minors thumb print on the first page will not be accepted. Visa applications for minors should contain both parent's signatures which have been duly notarized with a notary stamp and seal on the second page only, minors do not sign the second page of the application, applications without both parent's signatures will not be accepted. For a child above 5 years of age they must sign under the photograph, this is mandatory. Below 5 years of age they must use the thump print. Parent's signatures are not permitted.
