INDIA’S KEY PLATFORM FOR SOLAR ENERGY Intersolar India’s 9 th edition welcomed 12,863 solar and energy storage experts and 238 exhibitors. The total attendance including all exhibitor personnel even exceeded 16,000 business professionals from a total of 55 countries. The positive atmosphere of the exhibition reflected the strong state of India‘s solar market. Exhibitors described Intersolar India 2017 as ideal for generating leads, closing business deals and building lasting relationships. With the special exhibitions ees (electrical energy storage) and Power2Drive, Intersolar India has set the next steps for the energy transition in India. Around 50 companies showcased electrical energy storage solutions on the show floor-highlighting the ever increasing importance of stabilizing the grid in India. Businesses and investors made the most of the multiple networking opportunities, and numerous agreements and collaborations were initiated at the successful Buyer-Seller Forum. Furthermore 759 delegates received profound insights from around 152 speakers at the accompanied high quality conference, at the exhibition stage program and side-events. The event program was packed with 19 exciting and diversified conference sessions and more than 30 exhibition stage presentations and covered topics on the Indian PV market, rooftop systems, project financing, innovative technologies, PV quality assurance, agro-PV, floating PV and many more. Mercom India, Intersolar India’s official Knowledge Partner, exclusively released a white paper on the drivers and challenges of India’s PV market during Intersolar India. EXHIBITOR PROFILE AND FEEDBACK

The exhibition attracted a variety of exhibitors on the entire solar supply chain – from cell manufacturing to balance of system components as well as energy storage technologies.

At Intersolar India, 238 exhibitors from 17 countries, including 50 exhibitors with energy storage solutions, demonstrated how they are advancing the Indian energy transition. 94% of all exhibitors were able to reach their most important target groups very effectively and 92% of exhibitors rated attendees to be of high quality, making Intersolar India a must-attend event for all solar and energy storage professionals!

InternationalityDomestic and international entrepreneurs were represented at the event, with 73% of the exhibitors coming from India, 14% from other parts of Asia, 11% were from Europe and Middle East and 2% from America. Domestic exhibitors came from 15 Indian States, representing 60% from India’s western states, 24% from southern and eastern states and 16% from northern states.

INTERSOLAR INDIA PROGRAM 2017

759 attendees from 23 countries and 152 speakers attended the high-level Intersolar India conference and exhibition program as well as side events. Supported by an 18-member strong conference committee, the Intersolar program consisting of 20 conference sessions, 15 exhibition stage presentations covered a wide range of subjects, stretching from the Indian PV market, commercial and industrial rooftop systems, project financing, PV manufacturing, innovative technologies, PV quality assurance, agro-PV, floating PV, mini-/micro grid, e-mobility, and many more. In addition, technical trainings, workshops and special events like the networking event and several award ceremonies have enriched the overall event program.

BUYER-SELLER FORUM

The Buyer Seller Forum is a successful matchmaking program. The platform generates new business opportunities by helping exhibitors to meet the right B2B professionals. Many exhibitors took the opportunity to get directly in contact with potential buyers and new companies at the pre-scheduled buyer-seller meetings. In 2017, top decision makers conducted over 189 face-to-face meetings with the exhibitors. Exhibitors benefit especially from one to one meetings with influencers and decision makers, develop new business contacts and form new strategic partnerships, gain industry knowledge and a better understanding of the budget allocations, product requirements, sourcing needs and procurement process of the buyers.
