With the emerging growth of Indian economy and its increased dependability on the green energy and renewable sector, it is evident that transi�oning to a greener approach for a sustainable economic growth is highly desirable. The falling costs of renewable energy, ambi�ous government plans for rapid deployment of renewable energy and increasing financial support from interna�onal governments and investors all indicate that the transi�on to a low-carbon economy based on this green approach is not only possible, but already underway.

Considering that fact, it is highly important to bring together all the small, medium and large players under a common roof through recogni�on on their green ini�a�ves taken. This has presently become an emerging trend to honour them with the Green awards, which not only celebrate the spirit of the new challenges involved in the sector as well as to ensure further growth in this sector through apprecia�on. This par�cular approach has a vision to move forward with the concept of a greener world, where India being a significant part of the same.

BACKGROUND

The overall purpose of the event is to s t re n gt h e n t h e o n g o i n g p ra c � c e s o f apprecia�ng the innova�on and quality and to involve more par�cipa�on in the green ini�a�ves from not only the large scale project owners/companies, but also the small and medium players. The objec�ves to be covered under this event are as follows:

• To showcase the por�olio of individuals,

groups and corporates on green energy ini�a�ves

• To acknowledge the env i ronmenta l credibility of the firms/ organiza�ons

• To be a part of the programme of green accolades promo�on and to make the stakeholders aware of the criteria in a much more effec�ve manner

IFGE will be invi�ng applica�ons from the stakeholders by way of promo�ng the event through various mode of communica�ons including mailing, e-mails, social media, adver�sements etc. A�er receiving the complete set of documents & the process fee, the same will be scru�nized & tabulated by Care Ra�ngs. The tabulated results will be shared with the panel of the Jury members to decide upon the final posi�ons of the awards under each category.
