during exam break.

GVI.2014.2 

Volunteers and staff with a group of 12 joined together to start with teaching English and

Drama clubs in the beginning of February 2014. When exam preparations started & kids

have to concentrate on model tests, GVI team geared up to create murals to make SDPY a

more beautiful place for the kids & teachers. First they started with astronomy mural with

the planets on a black background. Most of the kids handprints were imprinted on the

mural which is a wonderful sight near the kids hand-washing area. The next one was

created in the GVI staff room which was allotted by SDPY principal. It is a small room &

looked dull. So GVI team painted the room first and started drawing pictures with

different thoughts from each volunteer. Highlights are a stunning globe with major

continents, different countries flags, Statue of Liberty, Taj Mahal etc.

Kids, teachers & principal appreciated GVI for taking the initiative to do such wonderful

murals in their school. Above all GVI team was super-excited & happy.
